1ST 4SPORT LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE
IN COACHING FOOTBALL

The L1CCF is a Level One vocationally related qualification that provides candidates with an opportunity to study and be assessed for both the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching football at this level.

The knowledge gained will enable candidates to develop a basic understanding of safe, ethical and effective coaching for young people. The L1CCF qualifies candidates to work with grass-roots club teams of children and young people aged 7 to 16 years. It is a stepping stone to working with a junior club and to other vocationally related areas in football including coaching, administration, officiating and sports therapy.

Coaching football, whether in an employed or voluntary capacity, is a rewarding and responsible role. This course is the first rung of the ladder to gain further qualifications such as the Level Two Football Coaching Certificate(formerly the FA Coaching Certificate)  and Level Three Football Coaching Certificate which used to be known as the FA licence.
