Yeading/HEW 2 Hanwell Town 2
Having been beaten by their opponents earlier in the season this result showed huge progress for Hanwell who were unlucky not have won the game. Playing in poor weather on a mud patch that posed as a pitch the conditions conspired to prevent a winning start to the year. In the first half Hanwell were in the coaches word "brilliant" as goals from AARON AZARIAH and DOMINIC PARILLON saw them deservedly lead 2 - 0 at the break. A mistake at the back with 20 minutes to go let the home side back in and with just under a minute to go a scramble as the ball held up in the mud resulted in an the home side getting an equaliser. It was virtually the last kick of the game. Man of the match FRANKY ELLIS.
Under 13 A
Hanwell Town A 9 Explorers 0
Once again Hanwell made heavy going of rather weak opposition. A tepid first half saw the A team go in with a 1-0 lead thanks to AARON NELSON'S 30 minute strike (we won't mention the miss of the open goal from 4 yards out!). After half time Hanwell got down to playing some football and Explorers collapsed in somewhat spectacular style. Captain Marvel ROBERT KEOGH weighed in with a hatrick (50,60 and 68) from the right wing position. Half time sub WILL RODERICK earned a brace (57 and 61) as did 'striker' MICHAEL 'chips' ANTHONY (54 and 58). HARRY MAGUIRE also got on the score sheet (66) and earned Man of the Match after playing his best game in a black and White shirt!
Under 13 B
Charville Athletic 4 Hanwell Town 0
Hanwell were outclassed by a top team.. A combination of the wind and rain and indifferent defending, made it difficult for Hanwell to get out of their own penalty box at times let alone their own half. Fortunate, enough to be only one down at half time Hanwell fancied their chances with the wind in their favour. However, two quick well taken goals, effectively killed the game. Good performances from MATTHEW HODGE and keeper GEORGE ISSIT did provide some heart to the team and the coaches.
Under 12
Charville 2 Hanwell Town 2
A game of 2 halves. Hanwell winning the first and losing the second, the wind doing its best to spoil the game. DANIEL CRANSHAW played a man of the performance in goal as SEAN EARLES and OLIVER PHILLIPS bagged the goals to give Hanwell the lead. A debatable penalty and good use of the conditions allowed Charville to share the points in what was a good game given the weather and pitch conditions.

League Cup - Quarter Final
Yeading/HEW 1 Hanwell Town 5
The ever impressive Under 11's progressed to the to the Semi Final of the League cup with a good away win to a strong Yeading/ Hayes End Wanderers Side who are currently second in the league. Whilst the appalling was the same for both sides JOSH BROWN only saw sunshine as he helped himself to a hatrick and he was ably assisted by JUSTIN MAIZEY who scored the other 2. Hanwell look forward to a first Semi final appearance of the season.
Under 10 A
Hanwell Town 2 Isleworth Colts 5
(Played at Isleworth)
Hanwell started off well and took an early lead, the goal being scored by AIDEN LONERGAN. They continued to dominate for the first 20 minutes but Isleworth bombarded Hanwell's goal toward the end of the half and finally equalised with virtually the last kick of the half. They continued immediately after the break and Hanwell never really got into the game. Total domination by the league leaders. The defence held out for 10 minutes and then Isleworth made the most of their home advantage in this an away fixture with 3 quick goals. Hanwell showed signs of recovery as Hanwell's man of the match JACK STEPHENS scored only to watch his efforts be cancelled out straight away from the kick off. Some good saves from ROBIN TILLYER prevented the scoreline being increased any further.

Broadfields 5 Hanwell Town 0
Hanwell never really found their feet in this game. Broadfields too control and never looked like giving up the points. Good effort was still shown by many on the Hanwell side but alas they were always second best in this fixture. Man of the match MILES JOHNSON
Under 12
Hanwell Town 4 Manor Cubs 7
Not many players score a hatrick and end up on the losing side. OLIVER PHILLIPS joins that rare club in the colours of Hanwell Town. A seesaw game on a muddy pitch that really could have gone either way but three goals in the last ten minutes killed off the Hanwell challenge. SEAN EARLES grabbed the other goal for Hanwell. The team had battled hard throughout and with the game even with ten minutes to go a misplaced pass in midfield followed by a missed tackle led to a Manor Cubs goal. Heads dropped and the Cubs pounced to kill the game scoring again virtually from the kick off and one more for luck. The fixture list can offer cruel comfort at times as Hanwell face the same opponents next week. Heads up 12S it wasn't all bad was it ? OLIVER - Can we have some more ?

Middlesex County Cup - Round 4
Princess Park 2 Hanwell Town 3
And the 11S march on into the Middlesex Cup quarter final. For once, they did not have it all their own way in what has been according to their coach "..the toughest game of the season." On their home pitch, reminiscent of Yeovil's old pitch , The Slope, Princess Park made Hanwell work for this victory. JOSH BROWN put Hanwell one up at half time. Following some substitutions at the turnaround, Hanwell scored further goals through SAFI FAZLI and BROWN again, and it looked sufficient for them to hit the usual cruise control button. However, Princess Park reminded the U11S it was a cup tie and scored to keep themselves in the game. Pouring forward they scored again. Game on ! Hanwell were left hanging on to the match and to avoid extra time. As PP threw everything at Hanwell MATTHEW SINGH in goal, proved equal to it all as he pulled off save after save. Beaten twice already he was not going to let it happen again. His performance in the closing period of the match was enough to earn him the man of the match. A wake up call for Hanwell - Quarter Final here they come.
Under 10 A
Junior Bees 0 Hanwell Town 5
A pretty even start to the game, end to end with no clear cut chances. Hanwell then scored two quick goals through CIANAN WHELAN and JACK STEPHENS. Junior Bees got back into the game only to be thwarted by a couple of outstanding saves by Hanwell keeper ROBYN TILLYER. JACK STEPHENS responded to the second of these by marching up the pitch ans scoring a third for Hanwell to lead 3 - 0 at half time. The second half was more one sided; it was all Hanwell. JACK STEPHENS completed his hatrick for 4 - 0 and AIDAN LONERGAN capped a superb man of the match performance with the best goal of the game. If it was not for some outstanding goalkeeping by the Junior Bees keeper Hanwell would have been in double figures. Nice for the 10As to get back to winning ways.
Under 9 A
Charville Athletic 0 Hanwell Town 2
Goals from JONATHAN BURSE and MATTHEW LEE made the points safe in this one sided game. SAM POMPILLIS went close on more than one occasion and three or four shots sure goals were prevented by good goalkeeping. Sam seems to have twice as many touches as anybody else on the pitch and he thoroughly deserved the man of the match accolade. The Hanwell keeper by comparison had two touches in the whole game such was the Hanwell domination. Charville are a good side underlining what a good performance it was today by the U9A side.
Under 9 B
Acton Sports B 2 Hanwell Town 2
A good clean game. Goalscorers for Hanwell were RAPHAEL TONDELA and DANIEL CAHILL in what was a very even game. Hanwell did not really get into their stride in this game and credit to Acton for taking the game to Hanwell. The points being shared was probably the right result. Man of the match for Hanwell was DAMAN EDE.
Under 8
Charville Athletic 1 Hanwell Town 3
A winning start to 2004 for the Under 8's in their first game in six weeks. Although never really looking threatened, early nerves were calmed by a thundering right foot drive by EOGHAN McNELIS into the corner of the net. Hanwell looked more composed on the ball than their opponents and a TASHAN DWYER shot extended the lead. This should have been greater by half time but numerous chances were not converted. The second half, business resumed as usual and Hanwell's superior passing resulted in further opportunities. Eventually, MATTHEW PHILLIPS jabbed the ball into the corner of the net, beyond the stationery Charville keeper. In a bid for more goals too many players pushed forward enabling a brilliant jinking run to undo the otherwise solid Hanwell defence for the Charville consolation. Competing right to the end Hanwell were unfortunate not to score again. Man of the match was JAMIE BUIST who was at the heart of everything.

Chelsea UTD 3 Hanwell Town 2
The last kick of the game denied what would have been a deserved point as they crashed to another away defeat. Hanwell took the lead, NIKEL PATEL scoring for Chelsea to equalise. DAVID HICKLING restored the lead but a mistake at the back led to a penalty allowing the home side to draw level again. As the referee was poised to blow for time a Hanwell player tried to beat one player too many and was dispossessed, Chelsea marched up the field scoring to win the game and positively stealing the points. For Hanwell this was a display that promised more than it delivered.
Under 13 A
West Drayton UTD 5 Hanwell Town 0
Hanwell Under13 As stuggled against inferior opposition for the first half and went in at the break 0-0. Admittedly they had carved out a few chances but failed to capitalize. Also, United must be praised for their committment and energy thoughout the opening 35mins where they fought for every ball. The A team came out with a different attitude in the second half and WILLIAM RODERICK smashed two very quick goals (36,37) to effectively end United's stubborn resistence. Stand in centre back FRASER MACKENZIE bagged
our third from a corner(41) and PERRY HEASLIP (52) and ROBERT KEOGH (60) rounded of the scoring. Man of the Match goes to WILLIAM RODERICK with a special mention to TOM GALVIN who was outstanding after coming on in the second half.
Under 13 B
Hanwell Town 3 Thamesbank Dynamoes 1
Hanwell were made to work for what in the end was a deserved victory. DECLAN SPEEDE, FREDDIE HAINES and AHMED ARBI all found the back of the Dynamoe's net. The goal from AHMED ARBI capping his fine performance as man of the match.
Under 12
Manor Cubs 3 Hanwell Town 3
A much improved performance from the Under 12s saw them share the points with MANOR CUBS. Hanwell scored first through OLIVER PHILLIPS, who after his hatrick last week against the e opposition would be glad to play them every week. The Cubs came back strongly and scored three times and it looked like they would repeat last week's emphatic victory but Hanwell showed they are made of sterner stuff and PHILLIPS grabbed his 5th goal against the Cubs and really should have had another hatrick. BEN BROOKE-SMITH scored Hanwell's third and Hanwell can count themselves unlucky not to have scored a winner as time ran out. Man of the Match was SEAN EARLES.
Under 11 A
Hanwell Town 11 v New Hanford 0
On a boggy muddy pitch Hanwell made hard work of what ultimately proved to be a routine league victory. It started easy enough with a goal in 22 seconds and leading 3 - 0 at half time, it was only in the last quarter of the game that the 11S showed their usual assured passing game. The defence were lucky not to get caught out whilst needlessly dribbling at the back, and the fancy footwork up front only appeared in the latter stages of what was a one sided game. Hatricks for JOSH BROWN and SAFI FAZLI with 2 goals from JUSTIN MAIZEY, the other contributors being GEORGE WILLIAMS, SCOTT ENSON (with his first goal of the season) and MICHAEL BURSE as Hanwell find double figures again.
Under 11 B
Explorers 0 v Hanwell Town 5
Possibly the best performance of the season by the 11BS. Certainly the best away performance. 5 goals and 5 different scorers. Okay, 4 different scorers, an Explorers defender deciding to throw one goal in for good measure. Scorers were RICHARD MAKEPIECE, AZHER ARBI, MY BALAL and BREIZE HUNTERMAN. The man of the match was JAMES ? at the heart of the defence denying Explorers any chance of a goal. Brilliant.

League Cup - Quarter Final
Brook House B 2 Hanwell Town 6
A slow start to the league cup quarter final game saw keeper ROBYN TILLYER tested early by the home team. After the first 5 minutes Hanwell took control of the half going 1 - 0 up through a goal from EDDIE CARTER. However, within 3 minutes of the second half they found themselves 2 -1 down through poor defending. Fortunately Hanwell equalised straight away through MAX RODERICK and then having been shaken began to dominate the second half. 2 goals from CONNOR HEARN and one from JACK STEPHENS made it 5 - 2 but a last minute penalty by CONNOR made him a hatrick hero and earned him the man of the match. Another Hanwell side make it in the semi final of a cup.
Under 10 B
Hanwell Town 3 v Glenister B 1
An early goal from AARON HARRIS set the 10Bs on their way against Glenister. The home side dominated going 2 -0 through SHYHEIM REITTIE. The visitors were fortunate when got a deflected goal before half time. Hanwell came out in the second half and VICTOR MONTES capped off a fine debut scoring the third with typical Colombian panache and flair. Hanwell came under some pressure as the game wore on but good defensive work and a fine midfield display by Man of Match ROSHAN VYAS.
Under 9 A
Hanwell Town 3 v West Drayton Boys Club 1
A hatrick from SAM POMPILIS gave Hanwell a fine victory against a strong West Drayton Boys Club side. Before the game the coach warned that to win the 9AS had to be at their best and so they were. ANTHONY ROSE in defence was Man of the Match, no mean feat in a game where a hatrick is scored. WDBC have not lost many and then not by 2 goals. Hanwell dominated. It was pleasing to see this side show its potential against a quality opposition. Well done. e again next week lads.
Under 9 B
Hanwell Town 0 v Sandgate 4
Sandgate are top of the table and they underlined it with an emphatic win at Hanwell's expense. Although defeated Hanwell had some positives to take out this game particularly man of the match LUKE JONES who ran and ran.
Under 8
Hanwell Town 3 Bedfont Eagles 4
A fast and fluid game on a cold and frosty morning. Hanwell looked half asleep at kick off and the Eagles would have been disappointed to have been held to 1 - 1 at half time, TASHAN DWYER netting for Hanwell. Credit is due to the Hanwell keeper for two or three fine saves. Bedfont pressed their advantage scoring quickly at the start of the second half. Hanwell equalised again through DWYER but then Bedfont scored from a quickly taken throw in and again immediately from the resulting kick off as Hanwell were caught at the back. Showing great character Hanwell fought back and took the game to the Eagles and got their reward as TASHAN DWYER became the first Hanwell Hatrick Hero at this age group. Whilst they pushed for what would have been a deserved equaliser, time ran out giving Bedfont the victory.
Under 7
Sandgate 3 Hanwell Town 0
The omens did not look good with a number of boys pulling out on the morning of the match, especially with Hanwell down to a basic seven players on a very heavy pitch. Right from the kick off Hanwell were under constant pressure but kept their shape well and battled hard to keep the Sandgate scoring chances down to a
minimum.Eventually the pressure told and Sandgate went in at half time 1-0 up.
After a few tactical changes at half time Hanwell came out the stronger side with man of the match BEN GOULD causing problems with his direct running down the right wing.Hanwell went close after an excellent passing move with HAMZAH KHAN drilling his shot into the side netting.
As the chances went begging Hanwell began to tire and Sandgate scored a second goal, with a third right at the death. Although the result went against Hanwell the boys can be proud of a great battling performance!

Hanwell Town 12 v Hillingdon Saints 2
Probably the worst thing Saints could have done was to score the first goal against the A team as it woke them up! Hanwell piled in with MICHAEL ANTHONY getting 4, WILLIAM RODERICK 3, AARON NELSON 2, JOE WEBB 2, and JACK READINGS 1. Saints managed to get on the score sheet a second time but the game was well beyond them by this point. A good, well disciplined team performance for the A team with man of the Match going to 4 goal MICHAEL ANTHONY with a special mention to new 'Midfield General' JACK MCCARTNEYwho ran the show from the centre.
Under 13 B
Hanwell Town 2 Broadfields UTD 0
A fantastic performance from the 13BS to join the A team in the semi finals of the League Cup. From Goalkeeper through to striker this was a great team performance. It was a fantastic effort from one and all the whole game. Each player worked for his teamates. DECLAN SPEEDE put Hanwell one up and AHMED ARBI picked himself up from being fouled to put away the penalty that secured victory. Impossible to choose a man of the match because there were 11 of them. Excellent stuff.
Under 12
Hanwell Town 7 v Hive 0
Best performance of the season for the U12S. OLIVER PHILIPS and SEAN EARLES were both Hatrick Heroes in what was a one sided a game. Only 1- 0 at half time the flood gates opened in the second half and shots that would have been straight at the keeper in the first half found the back of the net in the second. Man of the match was SEAN EARLES. A confidence building performance before playing top of the table next week. The other player on target was BEN BROOKE-SMITH
Under 11 A
Hanwell Town 2 v Manor Cubs 1
A close win over their nearest rivals keeps the Under 11S title ambitions on course. First half goals from a deflected free kick from RAFIQUE (in the continental he only has the one name) and a penalty from JOSH BROWN proved enough. Despite stubborn resistance from the Cubs, who pegged one back and who were unlucky not to grab an equaliser inthe second half. The 11S battled well in the muddy conditions.
Under 8
Court Park Colts 0 v Hanwell Town 6
On a muddy pitch the Under 8S produced some of their best football of the season. Following a slow start, Hanwell forced a series of corners, the ball eventually breaking to LUKE FRANCIS who passed to MATTHEW PHILLIPS, who got to the line before squaring for KYLE LACY-ANDREWS to tap in for the opening goal. Birthday boy PHILLIPS scored himself in almost the next attack with a low shot and the game as a contest was over from there. However, PHILLIPS and LACY- ANDREWS each scored again before half time and a private battle to be a hatrick hero began. JAMIE BUIST made it five driving the ball home as the Colts defence failed to clear. As the game petered out WIILLIAM GOODLAKE made a fine run forward and his shot rebounded to LACY-ANDREWS whose effort found the back of the net via a deflection. Claiming the goal, man of the match LACY-ANDREWS becomes the second Under 8 Hatrick Hero in as many weeks. Great performance from him and all the team. Well done.

North Greenford UTD P v Hanwell Town P
Match called off on Saturday.
Under 13 A
Thamesbank Dynamoes 2 v Hanwell Town 5
The most pleasing thing about today's game was that several of the lads were forced to play out of position due to number players being unavailable. Most notable was a great performance from centre back AJ FOSTER who played in goal today and kept Hanwell in the running when under pressure. Also out of position but playing bravely was HARRY 'BITES YER ANKLES' MAGUIRE who had a shift at left back and did well. Hanwell took their usual 10 minutes to warm up and found Dynamoes up for this match. However, after spurning several good chance Hanwell finally got on top and ran out winners. Goals from MICHAEL ANTHONY, (19, 46) ROBERT KEOGH (30) and AARON NELSON (19, 55) put the game beyond a determined opposition who had put Hanwell under pressure and scored either side of the break. Man of the Match goes to JACK MCCARTNEY who played a blinder in the centre of midfield and was exhausted after the match.

Middlesex County Cup
Quarter-Final
Hanwell Town 2 v Pinner Utd 0 (AET)
A tense quarter final clash saw Hanwell hold their nerve to progress to the Semi-finals of the Middlesex County Cup. With the wind in the first half Hanwell had the three chances to score but each was squandered. The Hanwell defence proved resolute following the turn around against a fast flowing Pinner with the wind now at their backs. 0 - 0 at full time. In the first period of extra time, a long ball found the feet of JOSH BROWN on the edge of the area, he checked back and as everyone expected a cross he drilled a shot low into the right hand corner leaving the Pinner keeper rooted to the spot. As the clock was running down the away side pressed for an equaliser, Hanwell began to concede needless free kicks in dangerous positions. They survived and after a swift breakout the ball again fell to the feet of BROWN who this time played a neat ball forward to the feet of JUSTIN MAISEY who fired in the second goal. He then had to endure the whole of the Hanwell side leap on top of him, including the keeper who ran the length of the pitch to join in the celebrations. A fine deserved victory in blustery conditions.

Under 10 A
Hanwell Town 2 v Ealing UTD1
A strange game that HANWELL dominated from start to finish. Many chances created in the first half but none taken the score being 0 - 0 at half time. The second half repeated the pattern and on a rare breakaway an Ealing player crossed the ball unfortunately deflecting off CONNOR HEARN into the Hanwell net that being the only goal of the game. After the goal, the Hanwell keeper was left a bystander to the game but Hanwell could not force the equaliser. Revenge is being plotted for next week as the fixture repeats away from home. CIANAN WHELAN man of the match.
Under 10 B
Hanwell Town 5 v Yeading/HEW 1
Hanwell started strongly took an early 1 goal lead scored by ROSHAN VYAS. They continued to dominate GIORGIA DUNNE getting scoring on the rebound from keeper to make it 2 - 0 . CHARLIE PEARSON came off the bench to score with his first touch for 3 - 0 for half time. Yeading came at Hanwell after the break and sterling work from Man of the Match JOE LYONS kept them at bay, further goals from SHYHEIM REITTIE and a second from CHARLIE PEARSON being a lob from outside the area made it 5 before the opposition got a consolation goal but the damage had already been done

A goal LUKE JONES proved enough for the Hanwell victory against good opposition. Having lost 2 - 1 earlier in the season Hanwell needed to be at their best and they produced a good performance playing most of the game in the opposition half. ARON GARRICK man of the match

Hanwell Town 3 v Brook House 6
The under 8S were totally overwhelmed by a fired up Brook House team. By the time Hanwell decided to join in, they were chasing the game. This combined with a few foolish errors in defence never seriously made the result look in doubt. 2 goals from TASHAN DWYER and one from the industrious LUKE FRANCIS (man of the match) were never going to be enough.
Under 7
Manor Cubs 5 v Hanwell Town 0
Manor Cubs proved too strong for the Hanwell Town Under 7S. They contributed to the result with an unlucky own goal. The home team seemed far more used to the blustery exposed conditions than the Hanwell lads.

Charville Athletic 4 v Hanwell Town v 2
Charville went 1 - 0 earlydoors before Hanwell equalised thorough DAVID HICKLING. The Hanwell keeper spilled one and it was pounced on to restore Charville's lead before the break. Hanwell fell apart in the second half conceding two quick goals. It was sloppy. NICKY ZAMMIT managed to pull one back following some tactical changes but time ran out. Notably Hanwell won the corresponding fixture at home and coach JOE AZARIAH is exasperated at this performance, "It looked like the didn't try." Come on lads you are better than this, you know you are. FRANKIE ELLIS earned the plaudit of man of the match.
Under 13 A
Hanwell Town 0 Charville Athletic 5
Hanwell town under13 'A' team came down to earth with a resounding bump on Sunday. They failed to score for the first time this season and conceded 5 goals to a hard working and well drilled Charville Athletic side who replace them at the top of the table. Despite the scoreline Hanwell defended well. The back 5 held on for long periods but once behind they were forced to chase the game and left gaps at the back which were ruthlessly exploited by Athletic. The A team had little joy at the other end with their luck defiantly away for the half term holidays. Man of the Match goes to AJ FOSTER who display at the back stopped the score becoming embarrassing. Also, well done to the whole team for not giving up. Hopefully, this will be a good lesson learned!

Hanwell Town 2 v Ealing Utd 3
Hanwell were wiping the sleep out of their eyes as they collected the ball from out of their own net having gifted Ealing an early lead. That aside, it proved to be a very close game in which Ealing eventually prevailed. Goals from OLIVER PHILLIPS and SEAN EARLES pegged back Ealing and Hanwell were easily the stronger side as the game went on. The extra fitness training is showing. Piling on the pressure in the second Ealing hung on as the final whistle came to their rescue. If only Hanwell had started the game awake. Man of the Match was DANIEL BROWN who had his best game of the season. Despite the loss the improvement is their in this side for all to see.
Under 11B
Hanwell Town U11B 2 v Acton Sports 3
Acton Sports proved too strong in an intriguing battle. Goals from man of the match RICHIE MAKEPEACE and UNAI MARTIN were not enough to hold off Acton. 3 - 2 is still an improvement from earlier in the season when the Hanwell defence was breached 5 times.
Under 10 A
Ealing UTD 0 v Hanwell Town 1
Exactly the same as last week. Hanwell dominated this game from the outset and the Ealing keeper made a string of fine saves notably from EDDIE CARTER and CONNOR HEARN. The deadlock was finally broken by CIANAN WHELAN who lobbed the keeper from the edge of the area, 1 - 0 being scant reward for the collective Hanwell effort. The second half was identical save that the Ealing keeper performed heroically to deny a superb strike from AIDAN LONNERGAN and keep a second half clean sheet. The score does not reflect the domination of Hanwell. On a muddy day it was noticeable that the Hanwell keeper had a spotless shirt at the end of the game. Congratulations to the unofficial Hanwell Coach of the week RUSSELL TILLYER for breaking his duck against Ealing and for managing the only winning Hanwell team this week.
Under 10 B
Junior Bees 4 Hanwell Town 2
ALEX JOHNSON pulled one back for Hanwell but Junior Bees had already found the net twice and were well in control before half time. The second half was a carbon copy of the first except that it was player of the match GIORGIA DUNNE who scored the second half Hanwell goal. If it wasn't for some major acrobatics from keeper ARCHIE JONES, Hanwell could have been embarrassed by the scoreline even further. They just happened to play the Bees on a day when they really had their tales up and were positively buzzing.
Under 9 A
Brook House 3 v Hanwell Town 0
Credit to the coaches for getting this game on at all. What with sickness and half term a much rearranged Hanwell line up looked out of sorts from the outset. One had the feeling that a few of the Hanwell players had it settled in their minds that they couldn't beat Brook House from the kick off. Good performance from some, one of whom will find himself playing in a different position if not a different team next year.
Under 8A
Sandgate 3 v Hanwell Town 0
Defensive mistakes proved costly in an exciting game of football. The home side kept Hanwell pinned in their half of the pitch for much of the first half. They pounced on a defensive error to go 1 up at the break. Hanwell came out strongly in the second as they pushed for an equaliser. Further mix ups at the back proved costly as Sandgate punished the errors. However, heads did not drop and competition was fierce, full blooded and spirited. Well done to the players who came in today. ANDREW BROWN earned man of the match largely for his first half battling against bigger players. It has to be said though, a fantastic game of football played in the right spirit that was a credit to both clubs.
Under 8B
Hanwell Town 1 Whitton Town 8
A developmental game that proved a mismatch as a contest. However the boys should take some comfort from this. Never quite giving up, their endeavours did eventually come good when RYAN CARROLL poked the ball into the net for a consolation goal. SOLOMON QUARSHIE proved himself a class act all over the field and credit to SEAN CARROLL for some fine shot stopping. A big thanks to Mike for reffing and to Brian the Whitton coach for his tolerance. More games soon.

Court Park Colts 0 v Hanwell Town v 4
Playing with the wind in the first half Hanwell took the lead through DOMINIC PARILLON, his first in 5 games. He doubled the lead before half time. Against the wind Hanwell struggled initially until with 20 minutes to go AARON NEWCOMBE-AZARIAH started putting his foot on the ball at the back and began to direct and spread the play. DAVID HICKLING who had come out of goal, on the turn around, scored the third and MALCOLM BRUCE popped up to score his third of the season. AARON gets the man of the match for organising the team and for once playing football the way this team trains.

A friendly against West Surrey league team Hanworth Eagles proved to be a bit of a mismatch. The 13BS just clicked as sometimes happens. Man of the match DECLAN SPEEDE who netted 4, with other scorers being JOE SMITH (2), GEORGE ISSIT, AHMED ARBI , FREDDIE HAYNES and MATTHEW HODGE. It was as though the wind only blew one way in this game, against the eagles.

Under 11 A
Acton Sports 1 v Hanwell Town U11A 2
This was a tough game for the 11AS. It has been a hard season and high standards are hard to maintain. A long unbeaten run is difficult to maintain. One or two Hanwell players looked prematurely jaded given that there is quite a lot of the season left to run. In short Hanwell played badly but won the game.
2 Goals from JUSTIN MAISEY proved sufficient in cold and windy conditions. Having gone 2 - 0 up Hanwell sat back, lost shape and struggled allowing Acton back in. Although unlucky with a few rebounds off the woodwork Hanwell were made to struggle and gave the impression of hanging on at the end. MATHEW SINGH - Man of the match, another fantastic performance in goal.
Under 11 B
Hanwell Town U11B 2 v Ealing UTD 4
Goals from RICHARD MAKEPEACE and AZAH ARBI were not enough to stop the spoils going to near rivals Ealing Utd. A great effort shown by the boys led by man of the match MARK CHAPMAN.
Under 10 A
Hanwell Town 9 v Sandgate B 0
Sandgate turned up with a player short, Hanwell made the gesture and it became a 6 a side game. Hanwell started off on top leading 3 - 0 at half time, goals from EDDIE CARTER, OLIVER DUFFY and JACK STEPHENS. The second half Hanwell were totally dominant, the ball not leaving the Sandgate half other than for kick off, a further goal apiece for CARTER and STEPHENS. AIDAN LONNERGHAN and CONNOR HEARN (2) joining them on the score sheet the scoring being finished off by DAVID KEOGH on his debut. No man of the match, it being such a fine team performance and one sided contest. For the second week running a clean kit as well as a clean sheet for the keeper ROBYN TILLYER.
Under 10 B
Alpha Omega 0 Hanwell Town 5
A game effected by the wind. Hanwell made a positive start taking an early lead through AARON HARRIS. This was followed up by a goal for GERRARD DOHERTY who closed down the keeper and scored a cracker with his backside. Then came the goal of the game by SHYHEIM RIETTIE a shot from distance to lead 3 - 0 at half time. Hanwell looked comfortable in the second half a further goal being scored by man of the match JOE LYONS with a fine header. The home team then bucked up and began to compete and forced the Hanwell keeper to make two saves, the second a fine stop with his nose. This led to Hanwell marching the ball, up the pitch for GERRARD DOHERTY to score his second making it 5 in total.
Under 9 A
Hanwell Town 2 v Brook House 4
Same opposition as last week - same result. A result that doesn't really tell the story of the game. Goals from SAM POMPILIS and ANTHONY HAINES were not enough against a well organised Brook House side.- Both teams played good passing football the difference between them being in sheer physical presence. The game was nicely poised at 3 - 2 to the away side but a final long strike proved decisive. Man of the match NIAL KIRKLAND organised the home team superbly. A different day, some of the saves might have been goals, the goals might have been saves and the result may have been the other way. Ah, to next time !
Under 8
Hanwell Town 5 v New Hanford 1
Even from the substitutes bench TASHAN DWYER looked like he was going to score. It was a game where his four shots, two in each half found the back of the net leaving little doubt about the man of the match or the result. However, it was not just a one man show and it was a solid performance from keeper through to striker from the Under 8s. The Defence held firm, save a fine free kick from the away side after a foul was conceeded on the edge of the box, the midfield created and the striker struck; MATTHEW PHILLIPS scoring Hanwell's other goal, arguably the pick of them all. A good home win.
Under 7
Explorers 2 Hanwell Town 2
A cracking end to end match, with Explorers twice taking the lead only for Hanwell to draw level with two excellently taken goals by JOHN CAHILL. BEN CHILDS had a great game in defence to earn the man of the match award with the whole team showing great character to earn themselves a deserved draw.

Hanwell Town 0 v Charville Athletic 6
Hanwell crash out of the League cup at the dreaded Semi Final stage to near rivals Charville - A seriously depleted A team were given another physics lesson by Charvilleon Sunday -i.e. when a body of greater mass comes into contact with a body of lesser mass, the body of lesser mass ends up on it's backside in the mud! Despite big hearts and determination the A team were pounded into submission and went out of the competition 6-0. A high protein diet and steroids are on the cards for the next match! Man of the match goes to ROBERT KEOGH for a never say die performance
Under 12
Bedfont Eagles 0 Hanwell Town 6
Four goals from man of the match SEAN EARLES and one each from OLIVER PHILLIPS and BEN BROOKE-SMITH gave Hanwell the spoils. The 12S were so dominant it could have been double figures. Birthday boy JOHN MCSWIGGAN marshalled his defence to keep a clean sheet for the first time this season. All the defence were fantastic. Now at last the 12S are showing the kind of form that would have made them title contenders if they had played like this all season. If only the League had started at Christmas. Well done lads its good to see your coach smiling.

Ealing UTD 1 v Hanwell Town U11A 3
Hanwell stay top of the table after a good win against local rivals Ealing UTD who put up a gutsy performance. 1 - 1 for much of the game, JOE COWLER opened the scoring for Hanwell JOSH BROWN adding a second. With a few minutes remaining Hanwell were awarded a penalty and JUSTIN MAISEYstepped up to make certain of the points. No man of the match but good team performance grinding out the result in muddy conditions.

This is the U11BS best win of the season in a a fine performance to overwhelm Explorers. The goals were scored by GEORGE WILLIAMS (2), AZAH ARBI, RICHARD LEE, NICK SCOTT, UNAI MARTIN and JACOB SHOOLHEIPER. Congratulations on a great team performance and victory. Man of the match RICHARD LEE.

Hanwell Town 2 Bedfont Eagles 2
Hanwell started off strongly and cruised into a 2 - 0 nil lead with goals from JOE LYONS, (a tap in after some fantastic work by VICTOR MONTEZ) and GERRARD DOHERTY (a left footed screamer into the top corner from outside of the box). Hanwell then sat back letting Bedfont back into the game. A couple of silly mistakes at the back were punished and at half time the score was even at 2 all. The second half was mostly Hanwell with the Bedfont keeper in superb form denying them what would have been a winning goal. The coach very pleased with the way in which the team battled to the final whistle. Man of the match AARON HARRIS.
Under 9 A
Hanwell Town 2 v Court Park Colts 4
A game that Hanwell should not have lost. ANTHONY ROSE in defence was Man of the match. Hanwell were caught cold conceding three quick goals. SAM POMPILLIS pulled two back and despite constant second half pressure the Colts held on. Hanwell could not turn their chances into goals. Hanwell gave the ball away cheaply too early and by the time the damage was done it was too late to turn things round.
Under 8 A
Bedfont Eagles 2 v Hanwell Town 4
The under 8AS best game of the season in wet snowy conditions. They clearly wanted this victory more than Bedfont. Having lost 4 - 3 at home to the Eagles, Hanwell were able to gain revenge in their backyard in a game that they never looked close to losing. 1-0 up at half time Hanwell pressed taking a 3 - 1 lead and when Bedfont got the game back to 3 - 2 the U8S showed their spirit to restore the two goal advantage. 2 goals apiece from TASHAN DWYER and KYLE LACY ANDREWS secured the victory but it was impossible to choose a man of the match as the whole team performed to their potential. When they do this the U8S are formidable as Bedfont found out. If the right option had been taken in front of goal, every time a chance was created, Hanwell would have been even more out of sight. Great performance from all the lads well done. Let's hope it snows every week.
Under 8B
Court Park Colts U 8 4 v Hanwell Town U8 B 0
A closer game than the scoreline suggests. A mudbath of a pitch did not help produce a classic spectacle of a game. Hanwell looked like a team that haven't played together too often but this did not prevent a bright start. Clever ball play by GEORGE `Magic Boots' PEARSON, playing out of position at the back and ELLIOT MAYNARD held firm for most of the first half. When the home team did eventually force the mud caked ball over the line heads soon dropped. Early chances were not converted and Hanwell faded as the game went on. The Colts grew in confidence and scored again all too easily leaving a scoreline that flattered them and a real headache for the kit-washers. A sponsorship deal with PERSIL for this game would have been handy. Man of the match ELLIOT MAYNARD tireless in defence. Well done lads good effort.
Under 7
Hanwell Town 2 Bedfont Eagles 1
A fine home win for the Under 7S against Bedfont who played Hanwell in four games today losing three and drawing in the other. This scoreline that doesn't truly reflect the sheer dominance Hanwell had over the visitors. Once again BEN CHILDS and LUKE GUYMER were an impressive partnership at the back both using the ball intelligently coming out of defence.A smart finish by man of the match JACK PICKERING was the only goal of the first half. The second half saw Hanwell really open up Bedfonts defence with RAHUL KALHAN dragging a great effort just the wrong side of the post and JOHN CAHILL hitting the post.As Hanwell streamed forward Bedfont had occasionally looked like undoing all of Hanwells good work with a few good attacks on the break, however another well taken goal by HAMZAH KHAN ensured Hanwell got the right result.

Hanwell Town 3 v Haliford Colts 1
The A team were back to winning ways this week in this friendly against a determined Haliford Colts side from the West Surrey league. Hanwell once again left their shooting boots at home but ROBERT KEOGH found the net after 15 minutes. However, you're never so vulnerable as after you've scored and Colts equalised almost straight away. Hanwell were a different side after the break and gained the lead, again through ROBERT KEOGH, on 56 with good finishing from WILLIAM RODERICK making the score a respectable 3-1. Man of the Match goes to El Capitaino Keogh. Good work fella!

New Islip 2 v Hanwell Town 4
The result of the day for Hanwell. A fantastic header from a corner from JOSEPH TEAL, and a fine finish from JOE SMITH after a great through ball from MATTHEW HODGE which split the New Islip defence and a long shot from DECLAN SPEEDE and a scrambled effort from ARCHIE PRESTON were enough to secure an unlikely semi final victory for the 13BS. This puts them in the final against Charville Athletic on 2nd May 2004. WELL DONE LADS. The club salutes you.

Hanwell Town 4 v Acton Sports 0
The improvement in the U12S since Christmas became apparent in this game by them beating a team that they had previously lost to. Hanwell battled hard for the result, Acton were bigger but Hanwell contested for every ball usually winning it. The game was built on a solid performance at the back strength in the middle and quick feet and understanding up front. All the team played well and for each other. A hatrick for man of the match and HANWELL HATRICK HERO BEN BROOKE SMITH who seems to be getting better with each game, the other being by SEAN EARLES.
League Cup Semi Final
Under 11 A
AGV Youth 1 v Hanwell Town 2
The Under 11s reached the final of the League Cup by virtue of a revitalised second half performance. Credit has to go to AGV Youth for they way they approached this game and the way in which they played football in the first half. They were in a higher gear than Hanwell, winning all the fifty fifty balls and creating opportunities throughout the half. In short, Hanwell were caught napping and were thoroughly outplayed. (Not something that is said about this team too often) AGV took just one of their chances to deservedly lead 1 - 0 at half time.
The second half saw the real Hanwell take the field. They quickly imposed themselves, winning the ball and getting their familiar fluid passing game going. They matched the gear that AGV had set and as the game wore on they were able to find one or two more to achieve the winning result. SAFI FAZLI equalised and JOSH BROWN scored the winner as Hanwell wore down the opposition. Lose a half win a half may not be good enough to win the cup, but you have to be in it to win it. The final is to be held on 2 May 2004. WELL DONE LADS. The club salutes you.
Under 10 A
Hanwell Town 2 v Explorers Cougars 0
A very tough game against a well organised Cougars team. Hanwell started off on top and took a deserved 1 - 0 lead at half time through a goal by EDDIE CARTER. The second half it was the Cougars who were dominant leaving Hanwell to defend their area. Goalkeeper ROBYN TILLYER made a series of fine saves to keep the lead intact. Just when it looked like the Cougars would equalise Hanwell hit them on the counter and CIANAN WHELAN scored the final goal to secure the points. Credit to Explorers. This was the toughest game the U10S have had for a while. Man of the match EDDIE CARTER.
Under 10 B
Explorers Panthers 0 v Hanwell Town 1
Playing against a team unbeaten all season Hanwell battled brilliantly from the start restricting them to long range efforts only. 0 -0 at half time the second half followed the same pattern. Hanwell matched Explorers Panthers physically player for player all over the pitch and following a goal mouth scramble it was ROSHAN VYAS who got the last touch to nudge the ball over the line. It was tough from then and Hanwell were forced back on the defence but they kept battling and deservedly became the first team to beat Panthers all season. Man of the match magnificent STUART REGAN.
Under 9 A
Court Park Colts 1 v Hanwell Town 2
Hanwell turned it around beating Court Park Colts their victors from the previous week. It was a game dominated by Hanwell who started showing they meant business. NIAL KIRKLAND scored a cracking goal from midfield with good movement of the ball from all concerned. The Colts levelled but JOHNATHON BURSE grabbed the winner. Man of the match was LOUIS AKIOYA
Under 9 B
Hanwell Town 3 v Isleworth Colts 4
Hanwell were unlucky in this game. They matched a strong Isleworth almost all the way LUKE JONES scored all three goals but he was pushed for man of the match by the passing ability of JACK MCINNES. A few simple mistakes cost Hanwell in the end but their performance did not deserve to end with a loss.

County Cup Semi Final
Under 11 A
Hanwell Town 1 v Hayes Youth 2
All good things must come to an end and the U11S unbeaten run did just that in the semi final of the County Cup. On a windy day the ball spent a lot of time swirling in the air and a tense game quickly settled into a 1 - 1, next goal takes it type affair. JOSH BROWN scored for Hanwell who never really got their normal passing game going where conditions called for it. Similarly, despite creating chances they never looked at their sharpest in front of goal. A noticeably tiring Hayes team held on and as it looked like the superior fitness of HANWELL might prove decisive in extra time their forward latched on to a goal kick held up in the wind, firing a winning shot across the keeper to book their place in the County Cup Final. Heartbreak - but the carrot of a League/Cup double is still there.

Won one lost one in the double header with New Hanford, so an equal share of the points. New Hanford get nothing extra for winning on aggregate. Hanwell Town 3 v Explorers Panthers 0
A hard fought game saw the U10A sode become the third Hanwell side into a League Cup Final. Both sides started out not wishing to give much away as you would expect in a league cup semi final. Hanwell were first to strike CONNOR HEARN playing a neat one two out of defence finishing it off just inside the Explorers box. Hanwell relaxed and began to play some good football and AIDEN LONNREGHAN scored a screamer from the edge of the box with his left foot to give Hanwell a 2-0 half time lead. Second half followed a similar pattern, Hanwell remained resolute at the back and following a goal mouth scramble MAX RODERICK got the ball over the line for a third to put the result beyond a doubt. Man of the match ANDREW CARRANO for a great defence performance on his first game back after injury. Bring on the final - 25th April at Hanwell.
Under 10 B
Chelham Utd 1 v Hanwell Town 7
A tight opening to this game as you would expect with only 2 points separating the teams in the League. Hanwell took the lead 10 minutes in, GERRARD DOHERTY nudging a goal. The game continued in this tight pattern with neither side creating much but each hitting the woodwork once. Second half it was a different story. Half time substitute VICTOR MONTES came on and transformed the game. Hanwell scored three quick fire goals at the start of the half, one for SHYHEIM REITTIE , a second for DOHERTY and one for MONTES himself to lead 4 - 0. Chelham sprung into life responding with one themselves and then came the VICTOR MONTES show. He picked up the ball on the left danced past 4 players before curling the ball in off the far post. Chelham heads dropped. MONTES continued to orchestrate events with CHARLIE PEARSON scoring twice before the end to complete the rout. Only 1 man of the match - well done lads - well done VICTOR MONTES. One show where you would not mind watching the repeats.
Under 9 A
Hanwell Town 3 v Acton Sports 2
A good solid performance against a much improved Acton Sports side. 2 goals from SAM POMPILLIS kept the game evenly balanced at half time. The game ebbed and flowed during the second half and nerves were all a jangle as the clocked ticked down. Step forward JOHNATHON BURSE to smash in the winning goal with a few minutes to go. Man of the match ANTHONY ROSE for his unaccustomed stint in goal.
Under 9 B
Hayes 4 v Hanwell Town 2
A game of mixed emotions for the coach. For most of the game Hanwell played some fantastic football and competed at all levels with Hayes dominating for periods. However basic mistakes cost them dear. 2 quick goals in 5 minutes through silly lapses let Hayes have a result that their overall play did not deserve. DANIEL CAHILL got both goals for Hanwell. There is much in the performance to be proud of and the future looks brighter for this side than the result may show. Man of the Match RAPHAEL TONDELA for fantastic effort.
Under 8
Hanwell Town 1 v Manor Cubs 3
Every dog has his day and SEAN CARROLL in goal for Hanwell made some outstanding first half saves rightly earning him the man of the match. Hanwell started brightly on a muddy pitch in the worst weather of the day. Early pressure led to two almost identical goalmouth chances for Hanwell where boots were flung but no contact made. The Cubs resisted and for most of the half CARROLL kept them at bay before a long-range effort slipped through. Second half the cubs grew in confidence and scored two more after sustained pressure. This did not do Hanwell justice and some pride was salvaged by JAMIE BUIST who blasted in a low shot after a fine run. Hanwell never gave up. It felt like they didn't lose, they merely ran out of time - Coach was proud of the effort in what were appalling conditions. A great improvement from the mauling the cubs dished out last time these teams met. Keep it going fellas.
Under 7
Hanwell Town 0 v Sandgate 1
Hanwell lost a tight game against a busy Sandgate team. Both goalkeepers made great first half saves to keep the game scoreless and despite pressure from Sandgate the second half looked as though it would peter out into an ill deserved 0 - 0. Fate dealt Hanwell a cruel blow 4 minutes from time as a misplaced ball led to a toe poke past the keeper. If only the chances had gone in. Great effort all round though.

White City Youth 3 v Hanwell Town 3
It is a funny old game football. Hanwell conceded a soft goal in the first 5 minutes. White City Youth took advantage of the success and some poor defensive choices to score twice more and the game looked over after 20 minutes. Hanwell tried to reorganise and some quick harsh words were spoken. The effect was startling, as White City never got a kick of the ball again in the first half. It made the team talk easy; do what you did in the last 25 minutes for the whole of the second half. They did. The second half was the Alamo for White City. Hanwell hit the bar, the post twice and their keeper was forced to make save after save. The chances came and so did the goals. Man of the match OSMAN HAIDER, created the first after a dribbly run confusing a defender to knock the ball into his own net. It was a joy to watch the 15s knock the ball about and it was MALCOLM BRUCE who finished off a fine passing move. The equaliser came after another run from HAIDER winning the 50:50 with the keeper, the ball bouncing to DOMINIC PARILLON who tapped it in. It was White City who were left hanging on for the point. It will be a long while before the coach's smile disappears - well done lads.

Double Header
Hanwell Town A 5 v Hanwell Town B 0
This Sunday saw the under 13 A and B clash for the second (and third) time this season. The first game of this double header started well for the B's whose work ethic and team performance threatened to dominate the As flair. However, ROBERT KEOGH (20) put the A team ahead just before half time after good work down the right by Jack Readings. After the break the A team got a lucky second AARON NELSON (31) and their heads went up. Goals followed from MICHAEL ANTHONY'S long range effort (35) and AARON NELSONS second (37). ROBERT KEOGH'S second (40) made it a slightly flattering 5-0 to the A team.
Hanwell Town B 1 v Hanwell Town A 2
The second game was a far closer affair. The As came out over confident and were shocked by good effort from JOE SMITH to make it 1-0 to the B's. Captain fantastic KEOGH (25) restored parity after the break, however, and SAM HOWELLS took the points for the A team with a well timed run and header (34). A team man of the match goes to SAM HOWELLS for a non stop all action performance. The real winners however, were Hanwell Town Youth who were able to field three under 13 teams today! A shame there could not be three winners. Well done to all players.
Under 11 B
Hanwell Town 0 v Junior Bees 5
A battling first half display saw the B team go in just a goal down at half-time. But after the break Junior Bees took the initiative, although Hanwell continued to make them work hard for their win. Goalkeeper GEORGE WILLIAMS made some fine saves and thoroughly deserved his man of the match accolade.
Under 10 B
Hanwell Town 2 v Junior Bees 3
Hanwell were slow out of the traps and defended like statues going 3 - 0 down after 10 minutes. They did then wake up and AARON HARRIS pulled one back to reduce the deficit. This lifted their heads and they began to dominate, forcing defensive errors from the Bees one of which resulted in an own goal for 3 - 2 at half time. The second half continued in the same vein with Hanwell having the lion's share of chances but the equaliser just refused to come. Three times they have played Junior Bees and three times they have lost to them. In the words of the coach "Just because they have beaten us three times they don't get to keep us" Player of the match GIORGIA DUNNE
Under 9 A
Ealing Utd 1 v Hanwell Town 1
This one was a game of two halves. Hanwell took the lead through the efforts of JOHNATHON BURSE whose shot deflected in off an Ealing player. This gave Hanwell a deserved lead at the half time. Second half, Ealing got stronger as the game went on and struck a richly deserved equaliser and could almost have pinched it at the end but Hanwell hung on for the draw. - The right result.
Under 9 B
Hanwell Town 4 v Hayes Youth 1
A much improved performance from Hanwell to avenge last week's loss to the same team. The main difference this week was at the back where a solid defence led by man of the match AARON GARRICK kept Hayes out and allowed the pace of Hanwell up front to dominate the game. Two goals a piece from LUKE JONES and JACK MCINNES sealed the win and there was also a fine performance from RAPHAEL TONDELA between the posts.
Under 8 A
Hayes Youth 6 v Hanwell Town 2
A much rearranged Hanwell side went down to a classy looking Hayes team on the windswept moor that is the BAA Club grounds at printing House Lane. A general uncertainty in the team and some poor decision making gifted Hayes a 2 - 0 lead which was reduced by a goal from TASHAN DWYER before the break. Hayes then dominated the second half and pressure told as Hanwell heads dropped. A second consecutive goal for JAMIE BUIST - for his mum on mother's day - provided some consolation in a contest where Hanwell were always second best.
Under 8 B
Hanwell Town 5 v Court Park Colts B 1
A splendid game of football in the sun and rain. Hanwell started the game in buoyant mood and following some early exchanges RYAN BOWER- MOORES struck a sweet shot to give Hanwell the lead. RYAN CARROLL was quickest to react to a parry from the keeper to double the lead. Man of the match DANDI SULA struck twice before half time, the second after some clever footwork by SOLOMON QUARSHIE. Hanwell rearranged for the second half and the Colts became more dominant and scored a deserved goal after some sustained pressure. Hanwell responded and a long pass was latched onto by RYAN CARROLL who struck from distance for his second and Hanwell's 5th. Well played boys - some really good performances.

Bedfont Eagles 1 v Hanwell Town 0
Football can be a cruel game and the stats will tell a totally different story to the result.Hanwell had much the better of the first half even though playing into the wind and up the slope.Hanwell were probably guilty of
playing too much as individuals but still dominated proceedings. However a speculative shot from long range evaded the Hanwell keeper to give Bedfont the lead.In the second half Hanwell played a much better passing game but a combination of gritty defending and good goalkeeping meant that Bedfont were able to hang onto the lead even though Hanwells shot and corner count were both well into double figures. The boys cannot be faulted for their commitment and effort, it was just one of those days. Man of the match was HAMZAH KHAN

Hanwell Town 2 v AGV Youth 2
This was a hard fought game which saw Hanwell at their best and worst. Leading 2 - 1 with 6 minutes to go, they conceded a soft goal after FRANKIE ELLIS was sent off after a pushing incident. He would have been man of the match until that turning point . The Hanwell goals were from MALCOM BRUCE and DAVID HICKLING.
Under 13 A
Hanwell Town 3 v Feltham Youth 1
The Under 13 A team pitted their collective wits against a much improved Feltham Youth and triumphed 3-1 this Sunday. It was a hard fought but entertaining match, played in the proper spirit of the game by both teams. Feltham defend well and have two highly regarded centre backs. However, PERRY HEASLIP didn't listen to the hype (in fact he doesn't listen, full stop) and found his way past them to slot in Hanwells first on the half hour. Youth equalised after a sloppy bit of goal keeping but Hanwell dug deep and fought back through ROBERT Captain fantastic KEOGH (56). Keeper DAVID GRACE then made amends for his earlier error with a fantastic one handed save to keep the A team ahead. Captain KEOGH wrapped it up on 68 mins after a good build up as Feltham began to tire. Man of the match goes to ROBERT KEOGH for his brace but the overall team effort deserves the most praise. Well done lads

Hanwell Town 3 v Thamesbank Dynamoes 6
With no League fixture the coach took the opportunity to accept a friendly fixture. With some key players away it was a chance for some expirimentation that at one point saw backs playing as forwards and visa versa. Hanwell netteed three times thanks to man of the match JACK BROOKE SMITH (2) and SEAN EARLES but their opponents were doins so at a ratio of 2 for every Hanwell one. Initially Hanwell started brightly but uncertainty crept in and having conceeded it became an uphill battle. A good experiment and one that helps on the great learning curve of football,
Under 11 A
Brook House 0 v Hanwell Town 2
Seems on paper like a routine win, but BROOK HOUSE gave Hanwell plenty to ponder in what was an interesting game of football. The dependable JOSH BROWN popped up in the first half to ensure his name was on the score sheet for the fifth time in as many games. The second half followed a similar pattern and except this time it was left to CHARLIE JOHNSON making a welcome return to the score sheet, to score the second. Good allround team effort.
Under 11 B
Hanwell Town 1 v Westway Youth 4
Another hard working performance from the B's in an entertaining friendly. An outstanding save from keeper GEORGE WILLIAMS helped keep the first half score to 2-0 before Hanwell came back strongly in the opening period of the second.RICHIE MAKEPIECE made it 2-1 and the home side looked as if they might earn an equaliser. But Westway finished the stronger and two more goals, one right on the final whistle, completed the scoring.
Under 10 A
White City Youth 1 v Hanwell Town 4
Competitive game in which Hanwell started strongly creating most of the chances. They took the lead after 10 minutes when OLIVER DUFFY chipped the keeper from outside of the area. Hanwell continued to dominate the first half with debutante AARON BILLINS causing a constant threat to the White City Goal. Hanwell scored their second just before half time with CIANAN WHELAN racing clear of the WCY defence to blast the ball past the keeper. The Hanwell keeper was tested early in the second half but showed good form with safe hands. The third goal came from the penalty spot scored by CONNOR HEARN after a WCY defender tipped a shot over the bar with his hand. White City then scored their goal, richly deserved leading to a shot that gave the keeper no chance. Hanwell carried n playing their football and AARON BILLINS persistence paid of when he converted a cross from DUFFY to make the final score 4 - 1. Man of the match AARON BILLINS, a fine debut.

Glenister 0 v Hanwell Town 1
This was a tough game against a much improved GLENISTER side, Both teams battled well with Hanwell edging it on chances as the GLENISTER goalie was the busier of the two in the first half as it finished goalless. The second half started much the same but with Hanwell starting to force the issue and finally they took they lead. ALEX JOHNSON forced the ball home following a goalmouth scramble. Hanwell then took control and continued to make their superiority count but failed to score a second. In the final few minutes Hanwell sat back but they held on to win 1 - 0. Man of the match ALEX JOHNSON proving that he can battle with the best of them . Well done Alex

A second successive win for the Under 8 B team. Hanwell started the more confident looking side and good passing from the back by ELLIOT MAYNARD and GEORGE 'Magic Boots' PEARSON had the Colts on the rack. A fine run by DANDI SULA, latched onto by RYAN CARROLL gave a Hanwell a deserved 1 - 0 half time lead. Positional changes lead to a more hesitant opening to the second half and the Hanwell keeper KYLE LACEY- ANDREWS made some important saves as the Colts pressed. As the game progressed some fine runs and crosses from ANDREW BROWN on the left increased the pressure and finally a through ball led to a second goal for man of the match CARROLL. Hanwell pressed for more and ANDREW BROWN was rewarded with a goal at the second attempt off the post. A great performance by the whole team with some really good football being played. If you are going to develop a habit winning games playing football like this is a good one to get.

Lots of positives from this game, with Hanwell passing the ball really well and producing some sweeping attacking moves. BEN GOULD and JAMIE GOULD both worked the wings well with some good quality crosses into the danger area, with JON CAHILL lively up front. However for all Hanwell's possesion they were unable to break the deadlock, although a shot from JACK PICKERING appeared to cross the line before the keeper scooped up the ball, unfortunately the referee wasn't in a position to give the goal. Hanwell were rock solid at the back with CRAIG TILLYER getting his second clean sheet of the season.Man of the match BEN GOULD.

Hanwell Town 6 v Explorers 2
The Under 15S played their best football of the season by far. Playing from the toot of the first whistle to the echo of the last whistle. Brilliant is the only word to describe how they played. All that has been worked on in training came to fruition and it was a joy to watch. At least 2 oppossing team managers approached the coach to find out what the secret was. as HANWELL played with style and panache unseen this season outside of flashes in training. DOMINIC PARILLON excelled again scoring another hatrick the other scorers being , CALLUM ARACHI, DANIEL SHAMINI ( his third of the season ) and OMAR FAZLI. Hanwell went 3 -0 up but sat back enabling Explorers to score twice hang in there at half time. The second half saw Hanwell play what can only be described as total football - Exploreres did not get a kick. Communication, throw ins, it was total clockwork football - DOMINIC PARILLON was man of the Match. If only all games had been played like this there would be honours this season.

Yeading/HEW 2 v Hanwell Town 0
With players out, others got their chance. However it was the worst performance of the season by the U15S in a stark contrast to last Wednesday nights performance against Explorers. Hanwell played like a team who did not know each other causing much frustration to their coach. AARON NEWCOMBE - AZARIAH got the man of the match as at times he tried to play Yeading on his own covering most positions on the field at some point. When DOMINIC PARILLON failed to convert a penalty following having been fouled it proved it was not his or Hanwell's day.

So near and so far in this game that was tighter than the scoreline suggests. Hanwell Goalscorers were OLIVER PHILLIPS (2) and BEN BROOKE-SMITH. Man of the match was DANIEL BROWN . The score was 3 - 3 for a long time before changes led to Hanwell losing shape and discipline and ultimately the game.

Explorers Panthers 0 v Hanwell Town 4
The game started at a high tempo with Hanwell quickly taking a 2 - 0 lead with goals from AIDAN LONERGAN and OLIVER DUFFY . They continued to dominate the first half creating many chances without adding to the scoreline. The second half was a repeat of the first with Hanwell scoring twice again this time through AARON BILLINS and EDDIE CARTER. Hanwell dominated the rest of the game but failed to add to the score sheet. Man of the match was CIANAN WHELAN who bossed the game from the centre of defence. Another great team performance as not fir the first time the Hanwell keeper came off the pitch with a clean shirt.

Hanwell Town 3 v Isleworth Colts 0
A hard fought game against a team level on points with Hanwell in the League. Started off very tight with not a lot chances created by either side. The opening goal was scored by VICTOR MONTES who beat a player out wide and saw his shot squirm its way through the Colts keeper's hand to give Hanwell a 1 - 0 half time lead. Second half Hanwell started like a house on fire with SHYHEIM REITTIE scoring two goals, the first one being a scorcher on the turn with his back to goal holding off a player, the second coming shortly afterwards to give Hanwell the 3 - 0 lead. Hanwell sat back inviting Isleworth on and resolute defending kept them out. Man of the match was JOE LYONS

West Drayton Boys club are a physical, well organised, disciplined competitive team and if you are not at your best you will be up against it. The team talk from the coach was spot on as Hanwell looked below par and paid the price in this game. The solitary Hanwell goal came from SAM POMPILLIS

Sandgate B 2 v Hanwell Town 3
Third win in a row for Hanwell although it should have been easier than the score line suggests. After a fairly even first half where the teams went into the break level at 1-1, thanks to a goal from LUKE JONES, Hanwell regained their shape and upped the tempo. Sandgate then took the lead soon after the restart through a penalty, but another goal from LUKE set up an exciting finish. It was DANIEL CAHILL who scored the winner and with Hanwell finishing the stronger of the two teams, they deserved more than a one goal victory. Man of the match was DAMON EDE
Under 8
Hanwell Town 4 v Hive 2
The Under 8s reversed the score from the last time these teams met. With key players away Hanwell began cautiously playing with noticeable uncertainty. Hive competed well and took the lead following a speculative shot. Hanwell responded with a goal from TASHAN DWYER and went into a lead through a GEORGE `Magic Boots' PEARSON trademark finish. Hive capitalised on a defensive mix up to draw level at 2 - 2. Second half Hanwell at last began to settle on the ball and took the lead after a passing move from the defence up the line, with a cross to the middle, RYAN CARROLL finishing with aplomb. It was he who also latched onto the end of a BRADLEY VENTOUR free kick to score his second goal in three consecutive game. Well done RYNALDIO on becoming something of a serial hatrick dodger. Man of the match was `Magic Boots' PEARSON for some great skill in a difficult game with a few notable performances.

Isleworth Colts 1 v Hanwell Town 5
Performance of the season from Hanwell having drawn nil-nil last week against the same side. With a number of regulars missing some of the boys were asked to play in unfamiliar positions and the result was spectacular.Hanwell took a 3-0 lead with three magnificent strikes, two from Man of the match JACK PICKERING and one from JOHN CAHILL . Isleworth looked like they could get back into the match with a quality chip just before half time. Hanwell went further ahead midway through the second half when RAHUL KALHAN 'S ball into the near post deceived the Isleworth keeper under pressure from JACK PICKERING. He then capped a great performance by completing his hat trick with an exquisite chip. He becomes the U7S first HANWELL HATRICK HERO . Special mentions as well to JOHN CAHILL who was a constant thorn in the side of the Isleworth defence and BEN GOULD who although playing in a new position defended brilliantly.

A very tight game against strong opponents who needed just one point to win the League. Hanwell started off the better side playing some good passing football without creating much in front of goal . The Colts came into it toward the end of the half but similarly failed to create any real clear cut chances. The second half was much the same, Hanwell playing the better football but Isleworth having the better chances with ROBYN TILLYER making 3 cracking saves one on one, to earn herself the player of the match award. Isleworth earned their point to win the League and congratulations to them.

Hanwell looked lively from the off and took an early lead through CHARLIE PEARSON. This sharpened the home side who began to look more threatening. As the game began to be played more in Hanwell's half, STUART REGAN let fly with a an awesome strike from nearer to his own goal than the opposition. The ball squeezed in at the post to silence the crowd and effectively stop any comeback from Yeading. The game was then all Hanwell as chance after chance was created and went begging. CHARLIE PEARSON should have had a hatrick and the match scorer was only troubled once more by the trickery of VICTOR MONTES. A special mention to SHYHEIM RIETTIE who deputised in goal and made a couple of important saves. Man of the match was AARON HARRIS who kept focussed throughout on the job in hand. Well done guys.

The Under 13 A team got their noses from their Easter eggs to play a determined and well organised Thamesbank Dynamoes and prevailed 3-0. ROBERT KEOGH got the As ahead after 17 minutes by finishing a well executed counter attack. Dynamoes then turned the screw for the next 30 minutes but found the Hanwell defence in resolute mood. Captain KEOGH then eased the pressure with a well taken second (40) as TBD threw more players forward. The game was finally wrapped up on 68 by the ever dependent AARON NELSON. This was an entertaining game played with grit and passion from both sides in a fair and sporting fashion. Hanwell's keeper DAVID GRACE was imperious between the posts but man of the match goes to JACK MCCARTNEY for an all-action display at right and then left back. Most pleasing, however, was the overall team effort. Good work fellas!

A great start by Hanwell who went 1-0 ahead within 30 seconds with a goal from AARON BILLINS. Hanwell dominated the 1st half playing some great attacking football without adding to the score line till just before half time when Aidan Lonergan popped up at the far post to head the second. The second half continued the same way and Hanwell were quickly 3-0 up when JACK STEPHENS scored with a long range effort. Hanwell continued to push forward and scored further goals from CONNOR HEARN and a second from AARON BILLINS to run out comfortable winners. Player of the match MAX RODERICK. Exellent midfield performance.

Hanwell were on the back foot from the word go when only 6 players turned up for the match. Bedfont decided to use this to their advantage and played with 7. The way the Hanwell kids battled was out of this world and you would never have realised they were a player short. The game was 0 - 0 at half time, but as the second half wore on you could see the tiredness creeping in. Following a scramble in the Hanwell area the ball was poked home for what proved to be the winning goal for Bedfont. Hanwell were denied the chance of an equalizer
towards the end when the referee appeared to be the only person who failed to see a handball by a Bedfont defender. Even the Bedfont players stopped for what they thought was a penalty! It would have been just reward for a brave battling performance. Every player deserved a player of the match award.

Hanwell Town 3 v Charville Athletic Youth 0
A game in which the Hanwell team tried to score from anywhere on the pitch that they could. CONNOR HEARN put Hanwell 1-0 ahead with a screamer from outside the area, and AARON BILLINS slid in to convert a cross to make it 2-0 at half time. The second half started with Hanwell playing the type of football that has made them so hard to beat this season and were quickly 3-0 up with a goal from EDDIE CARTER. The final score would have been a lot closer to double figures but for the kids liking of the goal frame, with AARON hitting the woodwork a total of 5 times!!!!! Player of the Match OLIVER DUFFY who put in some exellent crosses.

Hanwell Town 6 v Explorers 0
A hard one to swallow. Hanwell started off well and had the better of the early chances with STUART REGAN hitting the crossbar with a brilliantly struck free kick, and GIORGIA DUNNE having an effort cleared off the line following a corner. After 15 mins it was still all square but something strange happened in the final 5 mins of the 1st half because at half time Hanwell were 4-0 behind! The second half started in the worst possible way when GIORGIA got injured. With no substitutes available (as only a bare 7 players were available) Hanwell had to battle on with only 6 players for the second game in a row! To her credit GIORGIA didn't want to watch the game and tried to battle on but was a virtual passenger for the rest of the game. Hanwell did well to restrict Explorers to only 2 more goals but the damage had already been done in that freakish 5 min spell at the end of the 1st half. Player of the match CHARLIE PEARSON. Battled well in an unfamiliar position.

Brook House 1 v Hanwell Town 5
A good solid performance from the 9AS that stretched Brook House from the off. Goals were shared between SAM POMPILLIS 1 JOHNATHON BIRSE 2 ANTHONY RHODES 1 and MATTHEW LEE 1. Good game and the real Hanwell showed their true selves from the week before.

Hanwell Town 1 v Explorers 1
A goals scored by RAPHAEL TONDELA spared Hanwell's blushes after a tight game against a team that they should easily have beaten as they had done reently. It was not from lack of effort as shot after shot rained in. The away keeper did very well and it was just not to be Hanwell's game. Credit where it is due. Well done Explorers.

EAYG FC 1 v Hanwell Town 6
Hanwell won this scrappy double header quite comfortably in the end. The first game saw 5 goals from MALCOLM BRUCE and one from DOMINIC PARILLON. The second game saw the goals shared between MALCOLM BRUCE (2), DOMINIC PARILLON (2), CALAN ARACHI and EAYG chipping in an own goal for good measure. MALCOLM was man of the first match with DOMINIC taking the plaudits in the second for his holding the ball and support play.

West Drayton UTD 1 v Hanwell Town 4
It took a downpour of biblical proportions to wake up the A team this Sunday but, unfortunately, they were 1- 0 down by the time it happened. United scored and went one up and were determined not to let this gift be taken away from them. Hanwell eventually asserted themselves but found it impossible to get the ball in the net despite several good openings and the first half ended with Hanwell trailing still. The second half started much better and MICHAEL ANTHONY levelled the score with a crisp strike from the edge of the box. WDU continued to compete with Hanwell but JACK READINGS determination put the 13As ahead with a good strike and AARON NELSON made it 3-1 with a fine header at the near post. PERRY 'THE AVENGER' HEASLIP made it four to one at the death. The A team did well and were good for the points as they never let frustration creep into their game. Man of the Match goes to TOM GALVIN for a solid and enterprising display at right back.

Hanwell Town 3 v Yeading/HEW 2
Everybody knows that the Champions are their to be shot down and the Under 11AS discovered this today. Yeading took the lead but JOSH BROWN grabbed an equaliser. Yeading took the lead again and again JOSH BROWN got Hanwell level. This was a different Yeading side to the one that so easily rolled over back in September. Despite being Champions Hanwell U11S have an unbeaten league record to aim for. So far 20 games played without a loss. This was miraculously protected by a goal line clearance from cleared off line JOE COWLER who kept kept them in the game. When it looked like a draw would be sufficient to maintain the dream up popped JOSH BROWN to claim a hatrick and the winning goal - The stuff that champions are made off. Cracking game of football.

AGV Youth 6 v Hanwell Town 0
In their last game of this season Hanwell were overwhelmed in the second half after a good opening 30 minutes. In difficult wet conditions, they kept trying to play a passing game until the final whistle and never gave up. This typifies their season. They haven't always had the result but they have never easily given in. Stand-in goalkeeper JAKE SHOOLHEIFER made some outstanding saves to keep the score down but man of the match goes to JAMES COMER

A brilliant result considering what had happened 24 hours previously! Hanwell looked back to their brilliant best playing great football and stormed into a 2-0 lead. The first being a superb volley from a corner by GIORGIA DUNNE, and the second a typical VICTOR MONTES goal following a mazy run taking him past 3 defenders. Manor Cubs started to get into the game and pulled one back to make the half time score 2-1. The second half saw some great end to end football but the defenders of both sides coming out on top. A brilliant performance by the kids who showed what a good side they have become. Player of the match GIORGIA DUNNE.

Court Park Colts B 0 v Hanwell Town 0
Having not one but two 2 goals disallowed does did not help your cause. It proved to be a very frustrating day and performance from Hanwell. However, they have to learn to battle the conditions and circumstances including some odd decisions and so it was a good exercise on the great learning curve.

Hanwell Town 3 v Sandgate 1
Third win in a row for Hanwell although it should have been easier than the score line suggests. After a fairly even first half where the teams went into the break level at 1-1, thanks to a goal from LUKE JONES, Hanwell regained their shape and upped the tempo. Sandgate then took the lead soon after the restart through a penalty, but another goal from Luke setup an exciting finish. The winner was scored by DANIEL CAHILL and with Hanwell finishing the stronger of the two teams, they deserved a greater margin of victory. Man of
the match was DAMON EDE

DOMINIC PARILLON scored for Hanwell as their season comes to an end with a 1 - 1 draw against AGV Youth. Well done for your efforts boys. The game ended 1-1 after a physical encounter in which Hanwell stood up well in a game which like the season petered out. Going one down after a goalkeeping error the the boys fought back for a deserved draw with a goal from mr dependable.

Charville Athletic Youth 0 v Hanwell Town 1
A match where Hanwell never really got into there stride. A scrappy match which saw Hanwell take the lead when MAX RODERICK bundled the ball over the line following a goalmouth scramble. This was the half time score. The second half saw very few chances created but Hanwell very nearly threw it away at the end when the referee awarded Charville a rather dubios penalty. Luckily for us ROBYN TILLYER was on top form in goal and made an exellent save low down to her right. This was virtually the last kick of the game so Hanwell won 1-0. The players could be forgiven for their perfomance as their minds were probably on the up and coming cup final. Player of the match ROBYN TILLYER . Didn't have a lot to do but made sure her team won the match with her late penalty save.

A beautiful day for the beautiful game. Both teams contributed to a fine game of football. In truth Hanwell never really looked troubled over the result and man of the match LOUIS AKIOYA ran the game from the centre of midfield scoring twice in the process. It was two goals in each half for Hanwell the other scorers being CALLUM DUFFY and JOHNATHON BIRSE. Credit has to go the Bees who never gave up and made it a far more balanced game than perhaps the score line suggests.

Charville Athletic 4 v Hanwell Town 3
It is ironic that the under 13 A season should end with their best performance yet they got nothing out of it. The A team can feel proud of themselves after this cracking encounter with Charville A team. Charville are the league winners and league cup finalists for good reason. They are tough, competitive and very well drilled and have gone through the A team with ease this season. Not so this time as Hanwell made a determined and co-ordinated attempt to deny Charville four wins in a row. Charville were given their customary early goal by Hanwell but then found themselves 2-1 down after goals from ROBERT KEOGH and SAM HOWELLS. Charville got level on half time and scored two quick goals after the break when Hanwell were seaching for their second wind. However, the A team pressed forward and got a goal back through Michael Anthonys free kick and nearly equalised at the death through hay fever victim JACK READINGS It would have been well deserved. Man of the Match is a near impossible task but AARON NELSON'S work rate, tenacity and invention makes him a worthy candidate and is only pipped by the goal keeping heroics of DAVID GRACE. Well done to all 14 players

Hanwell Town 3 v Bedfont Eagles 2
DECLAN SPEEDE scored twice in a battling performance against Bedfont Eagles. Hanwell came from behind twice showing 100% effort. After Bedfont took what proved to be a decisive lead Hanwell had three chances to square it but alas it was not to be their day. However, coaches pleased with the effort and work rate shown. Well done guys. Man of the match ADAM PERCIVAL.

All good things must come to an end. Just like Celtic in the Scottish Premiership although the Championship title is sewn up the unbeaten record proves illusive as Hanwell crash to Manor Cubs. Never mind the consolation of a League title is there for anyone to see. The first League defeat of the season in the last game - Who is to say it will not happen to Arsenal. Fantastic season that this blip will not spoil and a cup final next week to look forward to

Heathrow Harriers 1 v Hanwell Town 1
Hanwell won on Penalties 5 - 4
Hanwell Under 10AS win the first Silverware of the season defeating Heathrow Harriers on penalties. A tight game typical of a cup final. Hanwell used home advantage to come out of the blocks firing on all cylinders creating all of the chances but finding the harriers keeper on fine form; great hands. Hanwell conceded a goal, a richochet from a free kick which did not reflect the play. Although they continued to create Hanwell went in 1 - 0 down at half time. Second half was much the same with all the play in the Harriers half. It looked as though it was not to be Hanwell's day. From a corner in the last five minutes CIANAN WHELAN popped up to head past the impressive Harriers keeper. Hanwell then stepped it up a gear to try and win the game but the keeper stood firm refusing to be beaten again. FULL TIME. No extra time and straight to penalties. After the first 5 it was 3 - 3 and into sudden death. Both teams missed their first penalty and both teams scored their second making 4 - 4 up stepped EDDIE CARTER for the eighth penalty and then ROBYN TILLYER saved the next to win the cup and send the fans delirious. This was a fitting moment as it was ROBYN'S last game competitive game at Hanwell. The lemonade flowed. CONGRATULATIONS ALL ROUND

Started off strongly scoring in the first 2 minutes through GERRARD DOHERTY, the cubs soon equalised. Hanwell continued to play smart football and ARUN HARRIS scored twice before the break to lead 3 - 1 at the break . His second a superb header from a corner. Hanwell continued to create chances in the second half but with a few players returning after a break fatigue set in. Manor cubs battled on to score twice to draw the game 3 - 3. A fantastic first season for the 10BS and a good end. WELL DONE EVERYBODY

Hanwell started brightly forcing a corner straight from the kickoff only for Hayes to break away and score an early goal. Hanwell competed well but just seemed a yard off the pace and were happy to reach half time the one goal behind. The second half saw a different Hanwell team as the players let the ball do the work with some slick passing movements.Man of the Match RAHUL KALHAN and JACK PICKERING were tenacious in midfield and BEN GOULD caused all sorts of problems with his mazy forward runs and was unlucky in seeing his shot rebound off the post. Hanwell eventually got their reward when a JACK PICKERING free kick was redirected into the net by HAMZAH KHAN. As Hanwell pushed forward looking for the winner they were left exposed at the back and Hayes pinched the winner.Unlucky for Hanwell but a tremendous second half performance.

Hanwell started the final as well as you could do by having three shots on target straight away. Unfortunately, the Charville keeper was up to the task and they soon settled down. Bringing the ball forward they soon had a chance and scored. This rattled Hanwell and Charville now in their stride forced Hanwell to defend and on the back foot a penalty was conceded. They then snatched another before the half time to kill the match as a contest. The half team talk did produce a calmer approach from Hanwell who never really gave up the ghost but could not get enough of the ball to truly be competitive. Hanwell's labours were rewarded with a fine goal from FREDDIE HAYNES who headed in from a DECLAN SPEEDE left foot cross. At least the 13BS had the satisfaction of knowing that they won the second half. Full credit to a talented Charville team

An early goal within the first 5 minutes by JUSTIN MAISEY settled the nerves as Hanwell 11AS looked to add the League Cup to their League title. Sandgate did well to hold the score to just the one at the break. In the second half Hanwell opened up and goals from an unlikely scorer CALLUM BUIST (2), together with SAFFI FAZLI, the ever dependable JOSH BROWN, RAFIQUE, and another for MAISEY completed the rout. Comprehensive, classy and fine ending to a fantastic season - League and Cup Winners. Well done Hanwell Town Under 11AS - We salute you.

WESTWARD BOYS 2004
|
|
The Under 12s hosted a friendly game against Westward Boys on the Hanwell Town Club pitch as a final curtain to the season and produced some of their best football for the ocassion. A tight first half ended 1 - 1 with Westward visibly tiring. Hanwell rearranged things in the second half making several changes and the Westward defence found the pace of OLIVER PHILLIPS too much to cope with and the chances soon followed. The goals were scored by SEAN EARLES, OLIVER PHILLIPS (2) and BEN BROOK SMITH who slotted a penalty in textbook style. Credit to WESTWARD who looked an organised side that did not play at their best. We wish them best of luck in the Echo league next season and hopefully the teams may meet again in a friendly soon.
