Under 14 A
 Hanwell Town A 1 Sandgate 3

The under 14 A team started poorly against newly promoted Sandgate. Without first choice centre backs and goalkeeper the Sandgate strike force enjoyed 3 goals with Hanwells only reply coming from JOE WEBB. Men of the match were PERRY HEASLIP and FRASER MCKENZIE for there efforts in goal.

Under 14 B
 Feltham 6 Hanwell Town B 1

Too many early season defensive mistakes proved costly in A one sided game where FREDDIE HAYNES was able to grab the consolation goal for Hanwell. Man of the match was GEOFF GYANSAH at right back who despite it all was outstanding.

Under 13
 Pitshanger 5 Hanwell Town A 7
A good run out for both local sides in what proved to be a productive friendly for both teams. Hatricks from OLIVER PHILLIPS and SEAN ARLES  and a goal from MICHAEL JAMES secured the game for Hanwell who led 5 - 1 at one point. Man of the match was midfielder ALEX PAINE who had a great game.

Under 12A
Hanwell Town 4  Junior Bees 1

An early goal by SAFFI FAZLI settled the nerves for Hanwell's only successful side of the day. He added 2 more to become this season's first Hatrick, the other being scored by JOSH BROWN. The Junior Bees despite boisterous support could only manage one in reply.

Under 12 B
Drayton Villa 4  Hanwell Town 1

Hanwell U12B gave a much improved second half display after going in two goals down at the interval. A third goal from Villa early in the second half looked to have killed the game but Hanwell refused to give up and began to pass the ball around. They scored a deserved goal through JORDAN WITTER  after a cross from KAVI LUCHOWA. They had the home team parents looking at their watches before a final Villa goal against the run of play ended Hanwell's hopes

Under 11
Hanwell Town  1  Glenister 6

CONNOR HEARN got the goal of the game in what proved a one sided contest. Glenister looked organised and deserved thoroughly their victory. At the start of the season this may well prove a good base to work from. Coach not down hearted as the Hanwell boys battled well - looking forward to the next game. Man of the match JOE LYONS who didn't put a foot wrong

Under 10 A
Hanwell Town   0  Ealing UTD   5

A game that never really got going for the home team. Ealing was faster, fitter and clinical in front of goal. Man of the match was MASAYUKI NOGUCHI

Under 10 B
Hayes  2 Hanwell Town   2

A poor start to hopefully a good season. There was not enough passing in the first half. However, the second half saw a great improvement and the midfield of ANTHONY HAINES, MATTHEW LEE and BEN CLEMENTS made great strides. Goals from HAYNES and a penalty from Man of the Match CLEMENTS saw the points shared.

Under 9 A
Hanwell Town 0 Manor Youth  4

A score that does not truly reflect the game. Hanwell gave the ball away cheaply once in each half to concede goals and failed to convert chances.  Manor Youth scoring twice in each half. It  flattered them but if Hanwell cannot learn to make the ball work for them it is going to be a long hard season. Man of the match SOLOMON QUARSHIE.

Under 9 B
Hanwell Town  4 Hillingdon Saints 4

A game that exemplifies what kid's football is all about; passion, commitment, fun and enjoyment. Why pay a fortune for the Premiership when you have the Hanwell Under 9 B team . Both teams out to win the game from the off, Hillingdon Saints scoring early Hanwell equalising through the busy DANDI SYLA . A lack of concentration saw Hanwell go behind again but just before half time ANDREW BROWN popped up from his left midfield position to fire an equaliser into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

The second half started with Hanwell in control and straight from the kick off SAMIR SHAFFI put the ball away to make it 3-2 . After this the game equalled out and Hillingdon scored twice in quick succession to take a 4-3 lead into the final quarter. But credit where credit is due Hanwell never game up and a final equaliser from DANDI who put go the ball in the net after a series of strong  attacks, with a low shot gave Hanwell a deserved draw. Man of the match ANDREW BROWN although DANDI his work rate, tracking back to help out his defence, including one goal saving  tackle,  sealed the accolade. Well done everyone.

Under 16
 Hanwell Town A 2 North Greenford 4

A gutsy performance from Hanwell against one of the League's strong teams.  Hanwell took the lead through Hanwell debutante TOMMY FISH but Greenford came back strongly to lead 3 - 1 at the break. DANIEL KONGO also on his debut brought Hanwell back into the game but Greenford scored a breakaway fourth to effectively finish the match off as a contest. Hanwell then hit the crossbar through DAVID HICKLING and have several more chances but it just wasn't their day. Outstanding performances from the whole team including the substitutes in what is a much changed side playing together for the first time. Man of the match ADAM JARCHE another debutante.

Under 14 A & B
 Hanwell Town A 6 Hanwell Town B 2

This seasons A vs B encounter followed the same pattern as previous clashes. The Bs started with vim and brio, pinning the A teams fops back in there own half by endeavour and team work. The B team rightly took the lead after 10 minutes and, in doing so, finally woke up the sluggish A team who hit back almost straight away through  captain JOE WEBBS tenacity. Now fully awake, the A team then exploited some hesitant B defending to take the lead through ROBERT KEOGH -"sorry Dad".

The lead was extended by HARRY MAGUIRE (it wasn't a cross, he meant it!") and ROBERT KEOGH caused further misery in the Keogh house by grabbing  his second.  The Bs pulled one back before a fine A team move was ended by AARON NELSON. Captain Webb finished the scoring off with a fine a chip. The score line flatters the A team a little as the B team tried out several new players and formations. Man of the Match goes to ROBERT KEOGH, with good displays from JOE WEBB, HARRY MAGUIRE and DAVID GRACE.

Under 13
Hanwell Town A 14 Grove Colts 1
A one sided affair in which SEAN EARLES   (5), OLIVER PHILLIPS (4)  and MATHEW GROUNDWATER (3) and MICHAEL JAMES (2) made a fantastic start for  the Under 13's goal difference. Disappointing to concede a goal but a thoroughly classy display.
Under 12A
Hillingdon Borough 0 Hanwell Town 4

A superb performance all round, passing the ball to the delight of the coach.  2 Goals from MICHAEL BURSE and one each for the ever dependable SAFFI FAZLI and JOSH BROWN continue the unbeaten start to the season.

Under 12 B
Ealing Utd 5  Hanwell Town 1

A penalty from JAKE SHIELS was the only comfort for Hanwell. Although they continued to pass well - and never gave up - they were comfortably beaten by superior opposition.

Under 11
Ealing Utd 2 Hanwell Town  7

The second match of the season for U11S.  After a 6-1 defeat, Hanwell worked hard in training and were determined to come back strong this week.

From the first whistle, Hanwell dominated the game. In the first 10 minutes Ealing United conceded 2 own goals - though Hanwell would still like some credit in those. This after some great build up play both after great crosses from CONNOR HEARNE. The first goal that came directly from the boot of a Hanwell player and the third goal on the scoresheet was a 25 yard screamer from GIORGIA DUNNE. The first half was still not over when a fourth goal was slammed in from the edge of the eighteen yard box by forward VICTOR MONTES. Ealing United must have welcomed half-time

Not long after the start of the second half, Ealing began a comeback with a great strike from one of their forwards resulting in their 1st goal. Spurred on by a goal on the scoresheet the same Ealing United player made an almost identical run through the Hanwell team and scored for a second time. With the score now at 4-2 Hanwell took the upper hand once again determined not to let go of their lead. Ealing United were penalised for a back pass to the keeper and a free kick was given to Hanwell. CONNOR HEARNE with a classy goal - up and over the wall - put Hanwell further ahead with an indirect free kick. As the second half moved into the last 10 minutes Hanwell did not want to stop the goal scoring. CONNOR HEARNE again dribbled past numerous players down the right wing unleashing a great strike over the head of the keeper. Just when Ealing United were hoping for a merciful whistle, a cross from Connor put DAVID KEOGH in a great position for a professional downward header that put Hanwell's final tally at 7 - 2. The team felt they had fully redeemed themselves from the previous weeks loss and are off to a great start for the rest of the coming season, the teams first as an 11a-side squad. Man of the match was given to left back JASON BOX for his rock like defence. However, this was a hard choice given the impeccable play by the whole team.

Under 10 A
Charville Athletic   1 Hanwell Town 5

Two goals from CALLUM DUFFY (2) and man of the match JACK MCINNES (2)  and one from SAM POMPILIS saw Hanwell take the points. Having gone 4 - 0 Hanwell went asleep to allow Charville the chance of a comeback but SAM POMPILIS made it safe great performance from JACK MCINNES.

Under 10 B
Hanwell Town 0 Isleworth Colts A 3
Hanwell simply failed to turn up at the races today. It seemed like the object of the game was to give the ball to the opposition. Hanwell had only 3 shots to show for their efforts whilst the colts were well into double figures. Man of the match was AARON GARRICK who deputised in goal and kept things respectable.

Under 9 A
Ealing Utd   3  Hanwell Town 1

Hanwell competed well in a game that frankly they should have won. Taking the lead through a fine goal by MATTHEW PHILLIPS they were unlucky to be held to 1-1 at half time. The second half was a scrappy display seeing Hanwell making too many mistakes and the home side capitalised to take the points. Good battling from Hanwell was just not enough to make up for the ball and the points too easily lost. Man of the match JAMIE BUIST.

Under 9 B
Court Park Colts B 2 Hanwell Town  7

A depleted 9B'S side  showed battling qualities to put what proved an inexperienced CPC to the sword.  Straight from the kick-off Hanwell  made their intentions clear, and they took the lead through a direct free kick from RYAN "Frank " BOWER-MOORE  which flew into the roof of the net.  Hanwell continued to press but were caught on the counter and found themselves level.  From the restart, they didn't panic, and further good play produced two more goals before the break from DANDI SYLA (2). The second half started as a more even contest, but it wasn't long before Hanwell had the ball in the FRANK grabbing his second.  Hanwell had the bit between their teeth and continued to press on with further goals coming from RYAN CARROLL, and a penalty from ANDREW BROWN).  CPC came back with a late consolation goal but Hanwell were not finished yet, and with the last kick off the game FRANK completed his hat-trick to finish the game off and claim the man of the match accolade.

Under 8
Hanwell Town  5 Ajax Youth 1

Hanwell started like they meant business and were 3 - 0 within ten minutes, goals from LUKE GUYMER and two from BEN GOULD. Hanwell then sat back a bit allowing AJAX to score just before the change around. Starting the second half like they did the first Hanwell were rewarded through the efforts of JOHN CAHILL who collected the ball near halfway beating 2 players before crashing it past the keeper.  Hanwell were solid at the back after this creating more chances a second for LUKE GUYMER following a goalmouth scramble. Man of the match RAHUL KALHAN who worked tirelessly down both flanks and unselfishly set up the first goal.

Yeading Youth 3 Hanwell Town 1

Hanwell were unlucky not to be leading after a tight goalless first half, TOMMY FISH squandering a glorious chance by spooning it over the bar. Hanwell took the lead in the second half after a set piece from the impressive JOSH GONZALES. The home team manager then made a decisive substitution bringing on a player who tore through the Hanwell defence helping himself to a match winning hatrick. One suspects he won't be on the bench next week.

Under 14 A
 Hanwell Town A 1 Thamesbank Dynamoes 2

The under 14 As difficult start continued this week with a 2-1 defeat to Thamesbank Dynamoes. Hanwell were without 7 players and a makeshift defence struggled against  determined opposition and conceded goals at the start of each half. In many ways, this could be described as 'one of those games' where nothing seemed to work right. Nervousness at the back infected the whole team and, despite good possession, chances weren't created and goals couldn't be found. ROBERT KEOGH eventually pulled one back and there were a couple of late goal mouth scrambles. However, it just wasn't to be. Good performances were made by JOE WEBB, ROBERT KEOGH and DAVID GRACE. Man of the Match goes to HARRY 'late again' MAGUIRE for a gritty and determined display down the right flank

A really nice football game played between two local sides. A huge thank you to Pitshanger to agreeing to this friendly match which proved beneficial to both sides,

Under 12 B
Charville Athletic 3 Hanwell Town 2

A much improved performance from Hanwell U12B saw them unlucky not to take a point. After falling 2-0 behind, Hanwell began to put their passing game together and NATHAN MACLEOD finished off a good move before half-time. Following a sustained period of second half pressure, Hanwell equalised when NATHAN headed home from JORDON WITTER'S corner, only for a breakaway goal from Charville to decide the game

Under 11
Hanwell Town  1 Hillingdon Saints 2
Hanwell started very well, slightly the better of the two teams. After 10
minutes against the run of play the opposition scored, it appeared to be from
an offside position but the goal stood. Two minutes later Hanwell equalised with some great build up play through the team, after good control and a well threaded pass from AARON HARRIS through to VICTOR MONTES who ran onto the pass and drilled it pass the keeper.
Just before half time Hillingdon cleared the ball up field over the head of our defence. Hanwell's keeper was unfortunate, he had a player bearing down on him and tried to kick it away but the ball rebounded back off the player and into the goal for Hillingdon's second goal of the match.
The second half was hard fought with the ball played much in Hillingdon's half where we had about 4 more half chances but it was not to be.  Our man of the match was DAVID KEOGH who worked very hard throughout the whole match. The manager of Hillingdon saints who are top of the league (played 3 won 3), was quoted as saying ''I am not looking forward to the rematch''.

Under 10 A
Hanwell Town 3  Old Isleworthians 2
Boy did Hanwell make what seemed like a routine victory hard work. JONATHAN BURSE scored two deserved goals in the first half after a good controlled play. After the restart LUKE JONES added the third to effectively wrap up the points. This served as a wake up to Old I's and as Hanwell completely took their foot of the pedal they pressed scoring two quick goals to make for a tense last quarter of the game. The away side can count themselves unlucky not to have got something out of it and the home side will need keep their concentration if points are not to go missing.

Under 10 B
Ealing UTD 0 Hanwell Town  3
A performance that as was as far from last weeks as could be. Hanwell were totally dominant and man of the match JOHN CONWAY was an absolute  menace to his former club. He terrorised them and rightly claimed a goal adding to MATTHEW LEE two goals. Frankly, Hanwell should have had twenty goals if the score was to reflect the possession and shots in what was a very one sided match.  Great team effort.

Under 9 A
Brook House   2  Hanwell Town 0

A game that was largely dominated by Hanwell. Whilst Brook House could consider themselves to be lucky at half time to be leading 1 - 0 they were really lucky to have doubled the score by the end. Hanwell hit the bar in the first half and despite wave after wave of attack in the second could not find the net.  The home team only entered the Hanwell half four times in the whole of the second half.  A lack of concentration in defence let Brook House in for their barely deserved goals. It is shooting practice at training this week guys. Man of the match went to LUKE FRANCIS who had an engine that Porsche would be proud of.

Under 9 B
Hanwell Town  6 Court Park Colts B 1

For the second concessive week HT proved too strong for CPC U9B's, although HT didn't have it all there own way at the start with CPC showing good battling qualities.

Half way through the first half Hanwell  took the initiative and it was RYAN "FRANK" BOWER MOORE who opened the scoring with a turn and strike into far corner. Hanwell were quickly on the scent of a second goal and were soon rewarded after  a strong run into the penalty area by DANDI SYLA resulted in a foul and up stepped ANDREW BROWN to rifle the penalty into the top left hand corner.

BOWER MOORE  gave a lesson in shooting as he put together a quick fire Hatrick of unstoppable shots to take Hanwell into a 5-0 lead. As the game petered out CPC were to get a consolation goal that their efforts at the start of the game deserved. Hanwell had one last surprise as GEORGE "MAGIC BOOTS" PEARSON on his first game this season scored his customary tap in, from a foot out to finish the scoring. He is deadly at that range.Man of the match for the second week running went FRANK BOWER MOORE with 4 goals.

Under 8
Ealing United U 8 'B' 0 v Hanwell Town Youth U 8 1

Playing against a stronger team than last week Hanwell started brightly  restricting Ealing's chances whilst creating a few themselves. It remained a tight affair and was goalless at half time. Second half was much the same pattern seeing end to end football with hanwell finally making the breakthrough when BEN GOULD scored with a volley from a corner. Ealing tried to get into the game but Hanwell stood firm and on the rare occasion the defence faltered JACK SOLOMON in goal saved them. Man of the match BEN GOULD

 Hanwell Town A 1 Acton Sports 1

A goal on his Hanwell Town debut from STEPHEN ODUKA secured Hanwell's first point of the season. A close game that saw the referee rule out another ODUKA effort that would have proved a match winner. Good battling Hanwell were unlucky not to have bagged their first win of this campaign.

Under 14 A
 Bedfont Eagles 4 Hanwell Town A 1

More bad news for the under14 A Team this week. After an encouraging start they slipped to a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Bedfont Eagles. Having weathered a concerted 25 minute attack by The Eagles, Hanwell took the lead after good  counter attacking work by AARON NELSON. However, Bedfont hit straight back and then took the lead just before half time. With the whistle in the refs mouth Hanwell had a disastrous mix up in defence resulting in an own goal, making it 3-1. This killed the As off. They struggled second half and went further behind. Man of the Match goes to PAUL GORMALLY for a good display as sweeper. DAVID GRACEand PERRY HEASLIP also showed character. The team manager is expecting a call from the chairman at any minute!

Under 14 B
Hanwell Town B 2 Acton Sports 2

Goals from DECLAN SPEEDE and BEN STANIER made honours even in a match that seesawed between the sides. Hanwell were 2 - 1 up and could not stop Acton grabbing an equaliser with 5 minutes to go. MOTM was MATTHEW HODGE Probably a fair result in the end.

Under 13
Stanmore Rovers 0 Hanwell Town A 5

Windy conditions hampered Hanwell and at 1 - 0 at half time they looked like they were struggling. Slight rearrangement on the second half saw Hanwell begin to dominate and a hatrick from SEAN EARLES killed off the Stanmore resistance. Hanwell's other scorers being TOBY MORTIMER (a first for the club) and OLIVER PHILLIPS

Under 12A
Manor Youth   0 Hanwell Town 4

In windy conditions Hanwell battled hard against last season's league runners up. An even first half saw Hanwell getting used to the small pitch which served the Home side, containing Hanwell's passing style. Manor held on for as long as they could and when SAFFI FAZLI got a goal the home side heads went down and it was a question of how many would Hanwell score. JOSH BROWN added a goal and SAFFI got 2 more to make good his hatrick leaving the U12s unbeaten.

Under 12B
Heathrow 3  Hanwell Town 5

An entertaining friendly saw Hanwell U12B record their first win of the season. Hanwell put their passing game together quickly and raced into a 3-0 with goals from RICHIE MAKEPEACE, SAM STANIER and NATHAN MCLEOD. Nathan added two more to complete a hat-trick in the second half.

Under 11
Brook House 2 Hanwell Town 2

Wjat a great game. It was end to end none stop action and fairly played by both teams.
Hanwell started slow but very determinded, after ten minutes they raised the tempo to match that of the home team and started passing the ball around .The first half was very eventful but no goals were scored.

Brook House was given a penalty after one of their players was brought down
in the box, but they fired high & wide over the bar. On the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half  VICTOR MONTES latched onto a briliant first time defence splitting pass from EDDIE CARTER . His first touch was perfect his 2nd took it around the keeper which left him an empty net to fire in a wonderful goal. But as Hanwell celebrated the goal they lost concentration and straight from their kick off Brook House scored to make it 1-1.

The game was about even when Hanwell got awarded a free kick on the edge of the 18
yard box on the left hand side, CONNOR HEARNE stepped up to strike  the ball well
and on target, the keeper who was standing in the right position caught the
ball above his head but failed to to hold onto it giving  Hanwell the lead. Brook House pilled on the pressure which produce some fine goalkeeping from ARCHIE JONES and outstanding defence from the whole team.

Then the ref made a very harsh decision that changed the game. The ball was cleared up field by Brook House the Hanwell player was in the box on his own it bounced in front of him hit his chest and went off for a corner. The ref  awarded the home team a penalty which they just
sqeezed in to make it 2-2. Hanwell had a few half chances after that but failed to capitalise on them. Everyone played well but man of the match went to ARCHIE JONES for a well played & much improved game, closely followed by GIORGIA DUNNE & AARON HARRIS .

Under 10 A
Old Isleworthians 2 Hanwell Town 2

Playing the same opponents as last week Hanwell will have to be happy with the one point and not the full three. SAM POMPILLIS equalised after Old I's took a shock lead. Hanwell then dominated the game either side of half time.  As Hanwell  pommelled the Old I's goal the Hanwell defence became static. A long ball over the top caught them out and suddenly Hanwell are chasing a game they were dominating. LUKE JONES restored the equilibrium and Hanwell hunted the win. Despite hitting the woodwork and stinging the keepers hands a winner was not to come and a point was all that was to be had. Man of the match was MASAYUKI NOGUCHI for another tidy performance.

Under 10 B
Hanwell Town 4 Yeading/HEW 2

A scrappy game not helped by the windy conditions. JOHN CONWAY opened the scoring for Hanwell only to see it equalised. CONWAY restored the lead but Yeading fought back going level once again. Finally MATTHEW WRAY on his debut and man of the match JOSH MAHONEY made it safe for a victory that should have been more comfortable than it was. Coach pleased that Hanwell were able to step it up when required.

Under 9 A
West Drayton UTD   2  Hanwell Town 3

Hanwell were a little unlucky to be trailing 1 - 0 at half time to the league leaders MATTHEW PHILLIPS having earlier cleared one off the line. WDU scored early in the second half and must have thought the points were safe but you write off this side at your peril. SOLOMON QUARSHIE chased everything and after an attack down the right he squared the ball for KYLE LACEY ANDREWS to finish off the move with a pass in to the net. WDU came back strongly even hitting the bar but Hanwell resisted and TASHAN DWYER eventually broke clear of the defence to bring Hanwell level.  Their tails up Hanwell pushed for a win and it was DWYER once again who beat the keeper to give Hanwell their first win and WDU their first defeat of the season. SOLOMON QUARSHIE was outstanding and  deserved man of the match.

Under 9 B
Hanwell Town  3 Cowley Youth B 1

A second consecutive home fixture saw the in form U9B's play host to Cowley Youth B, and for the first time this season all players were available to the coach.

The game turned out to be a much more competitive event than recent outings and HT were made to work. The game started evenly and only after good defensive work by ELLIOT MAYNARD did Hanwell settle and take the initiative. Halfway through the first half RYAN "FRANK" BOWER MOORE blasted in from just inside the area for a 1 - 0 lead. Hanwell were on top and a second soon came GEORGE "MAGIC BOOTS" PEARSON scoring from a foot out to continue his run of deadly strikes (tap-ins!).

The second half proved to be a lot harder and HT keeper MICHAEL CONNOLLY was forced into action on a number of occasions. Eventually something had to give and Cowley got on the score sheet with a goal their efforts deserved. The game became very scrappy and against the run of play HT were to score a 3rd and decisive goal with SAMIR SHAFFI rocketing the ball high into the Cowley net. MOTM went to ELLIOT MAYNARD for his defensive stand.

Hanwell Town 5 Bedfont Eagles 0

Hanwell started like a house on fire going 1 - 0 in the first minute which was probably not the best thing for them. Team mentality went out the window and it was everyone for themselves and only some good goalkeeping by CRAIG TILLYER kept a clean sheet until the break. Hanwell responded to strong words at half time and within 10 minutes HAMZAH KHAN had scored three further goals adding to his first to kill the game. Hanwell continued to dominate with their keeper being a bystander BEN GOULD nicked the fifth just before the finish. HAMZAH obviously took the man of the match but second half performance was probably the best this team has played so far - keep watching  this space

OMAR FAZLI dribbled and slotted a fine individual goal on his return from injury to give Hanwell the lead.AA defensive slip allowed Yeading to equalise although a LEE McMANUS goals made it 2 - 1 at half time. There were chances at both ends with STEPHEN OODUKA hitting the crossbar after the restart  and goalkeeper BARRY WILIAMS having to be on top form to defend the Hanwell lead. A great individual goal from AKIN OKUNOLA extended Hanwell's  lead before DANIEL KONGO  finished the scoring. It was a great team effort by Hanwell who really worked hard. Man of the match - CALLAN ARACHI who was outstanding as a makeshift centre back.

A DECLAN SPEEDE hatrick was a poor return in an open game that saw Feltham gain the upper hand. Terrific flowing end to end football or just poor defending by both teams depending on your perspective.

Hanwell went 4 - 0 down in the first half and never recovered. Although they recovered in the second half and won it 1 -0 the result will always show NGU as winning the game. The Hanwell goal was scored by OLIVER PHILLIPS. Man of the match was MATTHEW GROUNDWATER, playing out of position who had a fine game.

 Feltham 1 Hanwell Town 3

Hanwell chose the County Cup to record their first competitive win of the season - and did so in some style, scoring three and hitting the woodwork three times. Never allowing the home team to settle, they went 1-0 up after 15 minutes when NATHAN MCLEOD played in JORDON WITTER. He  then returned the favour for Nathan to make it 2-0 at half time. With the whole team playing well, it seemed only a matter of time before their passing earned another goal - but it was the hosts who pulled one
back. Nerves were calmed almost immediately from the restart though when
RICHIE MAKEPEACE smashed the ball home for 3-1

Brook House took a lead Hanwell matched it eventually going ahead 2 - 1. BH  equalised. Hanwell went ahead again and were unlucky to concede in the last minute  after controlling the incident packed game. MOM JOHNATHON BIRSE scored two for Hanwell LOUIS AKIOYA - A huge improvement from the losses to BH last season.

A fiercely contested game that somewhat ironically saw Hanwell play their best football of the season. They completely outplayed their hosts until a missed tackle gave BH the chance to go 1 - 0 against the run of play. Heads dropped a little and but HANWELL rallied and where unfortunate to conceded again despite the best efforts of BEN CLEMENTS whose tenacity and determination where their for all to see.

To score three goals at home and lose is a rum deal. To create two chances to every one the opposition majes and to lose well  you only yourself to blame. Hanwell have a harsh lesson to learn. If you do not convert your chances and prevent theirs you will not win games. The man of the whole match was the Bedfont keeper but for Hanwell it was hatrick hero SOLOMON QUARSHIE who scored to make it 1 - 0,  2 - 1 and 3 - 3, the final goal almost being the last kick. But alas no, Hanwell went to sleep allowing Bedfont to nick the game and points - credit to them for perseverance. Played in the right spirit  a great game but a poor result for Hanwell

Hanwell weren't at the races. The first half they were a team of individuals. They didn't want to pass or didn't seem to want play at all. Going 1 - 0 down heads dropped from the outset.  Poor JACK SOLOMON in goal had to deal with shot after shot after shot. Giving the ball back to the opposition is no way to play football. Second half they seemed to play together - they this time they cleared the ball and shut it down. Losing the second half 1 - 0 was a far better performance and it was a proper game of two halves. Man of the match LUKE GUYMER

 Connexions 3 Hanwell Town 4

The Hanwell team conspired to make what should have been a easy game very difficult indeed. Playing with the wind in the first half their forwards took it in turns to miss chance after chance that should have seen them away and clear in victory by half time. The law of averages decreed that a goal from AKIN OKUNOLA and two and two further goals made a 3 - 0 half time lead poor reward for domination. The second goal was a peach of a volley from a cross by OSMAN HAIDER

The second half saw Hanwell pinned in by the opposition as well as the wind as they leaked goals, giving away the ball to a rampaging opposition midfield. Frankly, they looked like a deflated team.  Brave goalkeeping by BARRY WILIAMS kept them in it as Connexions threatened to overturn the lead. Following a break on the right by STEPHEN OODUKA a header  from OKUNOLA gave enough of a lead for Hanwell to hold onto. Man of the match was LEE McMANUS for his first half performance.

Under 14 A
Hanwell Town A 5 Bedfont Eagles 3

The under 14 A team warmed up for this first round league cup game by watching a suberb B team performance against the mighty Charville. However, they subsequently stuttered against a Bedfont Eagles side of 10 men and found themselves 2-0 down at the break. Eagles played 4-4-1 and looked to hit on the break with their' Shaun Wright -Phillips clone centre forward. Despite peppering the Bedfont goal Hanwell could not score while both of Bedfonts first half efforts were well taken.

After the break, the A team rallied and got one back though AARON NELSON. However, Bedfont hit back immediately and made it 3-1. At this point the A team seemed to collectively decide that they had had enough of this 'whole losing thing' and suddenly stepped up a gear. Captain JOE WEBB made it 2-3 and ROBERT KEOGH restored parity. Bedfont began to tire and the A team pilled on. NELSON'S second gave Hanwell the lead and KEOGH'S second gave the score some respectability at 5-3. The A team deserve credit for showing "bouncebackabilty" and rediscovering their scoring touch. Man of the match goes to MICHAEL ANTHONY for his overall team work. Good displays too, from BEN REDHEAD and HARRY MAGUIRE.

Hanwell Town A 3 Charville Athletic 2

A fantastic team performance from the U14Bs saw then pull off a fantastic home win against last season's champions Charville. MATTHEW GROUNDWATER continued his rich vein of form for Hanwell scoring his second goal with a memorable scissor kick from an ALEX PAINE free kick. SEAN EARLES was the other scorer a poor return for the number of chances in what was a close game before Hanwell upped the ante in the second half. Man of the match was LUCAS HUHN for an outstanding performance on both flanks.

Under 12B
Brook House 6 Hanwell Town 1

A better performance from Hanwell than the scoreline suggests. If they had tucked away a couple of their chances it would have shown a closer game against higher league opposition. Despite it being the U12B's heaviest defeat of the season they stuck to their game against a strong Brook House side conceding three goals in each half. An improved second half display saw Hanwell spurn several deserved clear chances before HARRY FIELD scored the goal that  recorded the goal  their efforts deserved.

What promised to be a very difficult cup tie on paper for the in form U9B's did in fact prove to be just that on the park with class of a team 2 divisions above them telling as they went down 12-2 to the premier division highfliers Cowley Youth `A'.

With players playing out of position and on a very large pitch Hanwell could never quite get to grips with Cowley's passing and movement. However it was not all negative as Hanwell showed in patches that they should be a force in division 2 where their passing and movement should gain just reward. Goals from DANDI SYLA and RYAN "FRANK" BOWER MOORE showed Hanwell are capable of finding the net against the strongest of teams. Hanwell man of the match went to DANDI SYLA

A pulsating game of football. Eight goals, two penalties - one saved, two yellow cards and eight goals. It is Hanwell who can be the more pleased with their point although a little frustrated not to have taken all three.

An own goal from Greenford after  a superb cross by STEPHEN ODUKA gave Hanwell the lead. And although Greenford equalised and subsequently took the lead a fine strike from AKIN OKUNOLA and a goal by TOMMY FISH gave Hanwell a deserved lead at half time. Defensive uncertainty and flapping allowed Greenford back into the game before the referee rather fortuitously awarded Hanwell a penalty following fine work by LEE McMANUS. JOSH GONZALES slotted a sublime spot kick to put Hanwell in the lead. Greenford poured forward and obtained their equaliser before the referee in a bid to be fair made his second fortuitous penalty decision.  BARRY WILLIAMS the Hanwell keeper deserves credit for a fine save to keep the scores even.

Hanwell upped their game and further chances by LEE McMANUS and ABDI SAAD should have secured the points B but the teams  remained tied. A great team performance and man of the match was ADAM JARCHE in midfield. If this is Hanwell against a supposed  top team in the division on this performance the question has to be asked why are they not there themselves.

A bad day for Hanwell. It's halloween but the defending was horror of the highest kind and poor finishing and the reverse by the home team saw the points go their way in an acrimonious battle. Hanwell went down to an organised Acton Sports team who outplayed them on the day. A consolation goal from BEN STANIER was scant reward for their efforts. Man of the match AARON BILLINS - another great performance from AARON HARRIS and a fine season debut for CHARLIE PEARSON back from injury was not enough for Hanwell.  The team battled well but after conceding early Hanwell were always chasing the game. Three goals in the second half sunk Hanwell despite counter goals from SHYHEIM REITTIE and BILLINS. Too many missed chances for Hanwell cost them dearly.

Under 10 B
Yeading/HEW 4 Hanwell Town 2

Bad defending cost Hanwell against at times a fortunate opposition. This was about goals given away than earned by the opposition, Hanwell's first was an own goal following a run and cross by MATTHEW LEE. They equalised immediately as Hanwell dozed after at the kick off. The second half Hanwell started passing the ball better and went 2 - 1 up from BEN CLEMENTS after a good passing move. History repeated itself as Yeading equalised again straight away.  Yeading the played a direct game and scored twice more each time down the middle. Despite loads of possession for Hanwell they could not recover the game. Man of the match was MATTHEW LEE who never gave up trying.

Under 9 A
Hanwell Town  5 Manor Youth B 0

A pleasing win for Hanwell in this cup game against lower league opposition made sweeter with a clean sheet. In truth Manor Youth deserved goals as Hanwell were shown for the Jekyll and Hyde team they are. The first half although producing three goals for the home team was not them at their best and Manor Youth looked a far more impressive passing outfit. They were simply unlucky not to have scored. The second half was a different story where Hanwell moved the ball better,  stifled Manor's chances and despite their opponents heads dropping they still found themselves only able to add two more to the scoreline. A hatrick for KYLE LACY ANDREWS and two for TASHAN DWYER. Man of the match was keeper SEAN CARROLL who did all he was called upon to do safely and without fuss.

Under 9 B
Hillingdon JETS 8 Hanwell Town  4

A first league defeat for the U9B team but it must have seemed like deja vu after last weeks cup game. They found themselves 4 nil down in the first 7 minutes. On a tiny postage stamp sloping pitch HT had no answers to the Jet's  first half onslaught as they used their physical and home advantage. The only bright spot in the first half was a goal from sub  FRANK BOWER MOORE who kept up his goal a game record by smashing the ball into the Jets net to give the HT parents something to cheer about, but not much as the half time whistle blow with HT trailing 7-1.

After a question and answer session at half time HT gave a much better account of themselves in the second half, starting with RYAN CAROLL who popped up from his lonely strikers role to put the ball away under the keepers body. HT had now decided to play and show that they could also play a physical game. Lead by ELLIOT MAYNARD who put in a `motm' performance from his defensive role. HT proceeded to score twice more through CARROLL again and GEORGE 'MAGIC BOOTS' PEARSON,  to win the half 3-1 but lose the game 8-4. The moral of this story is that football is a game of two halves but it is no good just playing for one. More second half spirit will put the 9B's back on track.

The Under 16s unbeaten run came to an end by a lively Connexions side who reversed the score of the corresponding fixture. Goals from DAVID HICKLING, JOSH GONZALEZ and ABDI SAAD were not enough

Under 14 A
Thamesbank Dynamoes 4 Hanwell Town A 1

The under 14 A team suffered another painful defeat today but can take some consolation in a much improved display. The final  indicates a one sided game but the match was much closer than the score line suggests. The A team defended well for most of the 1st half but were once again guilty of losing concentration and allowed Thamesbank to take a 1-0 advantage at the break.  Hanwell hit back in the second half and deservedly got on level terms through AHMED ARBI (his 1st for the A team). The next goal was going
to be vital and unfortunately it fell to the Dynamoes. The As had to chase the game from this point and inevitably left gaps at the back which were pounced on by Thamesbank. The A team will have to improve there finishing if they are to progress this season.  Good displays today from PERRY HEASLIP and
HARRY MAGUIRE but man of the match goes to 'keeper DAVID GRACE who made some outstanding saves.

FREDDIE HAYNES and OMARI MOSES scored for Hanwell in a close fought game. Credit to Hanwell for taking a point off Sandgate who are positioned above them in the league and who have already beaten the A team. Well done guys.

Grove Colts 4 Hanwell Town 2

Grove Colts took a healthy 3  - 1 lead by half time and Hanwell were always playing catch up. MATTHEW GROUNDWATER and EWAN VASSALLO scored for Hanwell in what was a below par performance. The second half was even but although Hanwell got back to 3 - 2 Grove Colts sneaked  a further goal to retain their 2 goal lead. The Hanwell second half performance was admirable but too little too late. Man of the match was JOHN McSWIGGAN at the back.

Hanwell had five players missing for the second game in a row so the boys did well in the circumstances against tough opposition.

A much improved second half performance couldn't stop Hanwell U12B going down to their heaviest league defeat of the season. They were already 4-0 down in the first half before ROHAN WYN-FRANK pulled one back while HARRY FIELD added a second after the break. Both stand-in goalkeepers MATTHEW LIEBECK and MATTHEW HUTCHINGS deserve credit for volunteering togo in goal for a half each.

Hanwell played their best football and were unlucky not to have won this game. STUART REGAN is claiming the goal after crossing the ball for VICTOR MONTES but it probably came of a Hillingdon player. Ealing UTD A  1 Hanwell Town 0

Huge improvement on the 5 - 0 loss from earlier in the season. Man of the match for Hanwell Town was LUKE JONES. Hanwell dominated the second half having seen shots to Ealing's one but Ealing held on for the victory. Another great performance from MASAYUKI NOGUCHI

Under 10 B
 Hanwell Town 1 Ealing UTD B 0

Hanwell Town dominated the game and their deserved goal came from a good worked move. ANTHONY HAYNES beat two players and crossed the ball and an Ealing player obligingly kicked the ball in their net. Strong refereeing required in a competitive match. Hanwell outplayed the opposition but not really getting the goals they deserved. Man of the match was MATTHEW LEE who really should have 3 or 4 goals and was a constant pain to the Ealing side.
Under 9 A
Heathrow 3 Hanwell Town 0

Not Hanwell's best performace by some way. Maybe it was a half term hangover that made this side look like a team who hadn't played together before. Sloppy defending, poor decision making made the home side look good as they snatched on to and took their oppurtunities. Although Hanwell competed better in the second half, on the basis of today a relegation battle looms. Despite a few chances to alter things a combination of good keeping and poor luck thwarted Hanwell. Man of the match was WILLIAM GOODLAKE for some good industry up front.

Under 9 B
Hanwell Town  1 Hillingdon Jets 3

For the second week running Hanwell faced Hillingdon Jets and for the second week came of worse. Hopes were high in the U9B's camp that they could turn around last weeks defeat but it wasn't to be.

Hanwell started sprightly enough and soon took the lead when a corner from the left by "FRANK" BOWER MOORE saw the HJ keeper push the ball into his own net for a 1 -0 lead. The lead did not last long as the jets squared the game 1-1. The rest of the first half was played out with no further score as both teams showed good commitment in the middle of the field.

The second half start poorly for Hanwell as they were caught twice in quick succession as the Jets took a 3-1 lead. From the moment their third goal went in you could see the confidence drain from Hanwell . The rest of the half was a struggle but to Hanwell's credit the Jets were unable to score further. Man of the man for HT went to DANDI SYLA .

Under 8
Hanwell Town 0 Ealing Utd B 2

Thia was one of those odd games that Hanwell dominated but ended up losing. Football is is a game where you have to take your chances and Ealing did and Hanwell didn't. On the stroke of half time, having been pinned in their half the whole time Ealing countered and took an ill deserved lead. The second half was a similar pattern with Hanwell pushing and having shot after shot and Ealing on the defence only for them to break and double their lead with a few minutes to go. Great battling by JACK PICKERING earns him the Man of the match award but Hanwell really can feel hard done by.

As Hanwell pressed for the equlaliser  Thamesbank stole another. Hanwell had several chancess to get back into the game but failed to capitailse. Thamesbank did when their chancs came and the scoreline does flatter them a little. Great effort but second best on the day.

Hanwell U9A proved they had bouncebackability after their poor performance last week by beating local rivals Ealing in a close game.  The home side settled quicker than their opponents and the pattern of the first half  was Hanwell in Ealing's half with Ealing trying to catch Hanwell on the break. No score at half time was about fair. The second half started much the same until the ball broke from a SOLOMON QUASRSHIE tackle to WILLIAM GOODLAKE who skyed the ball goalward. The Ealing keeper dropped it for KYLE LACY-ANDREWS to head in for what proved to be the winning goal. The Hanwell defence weathered the storm and were unlucky not to nick another. No man of the match as it was a fantastic team performance.

Under 9 B
Junior Bees 6 Hanwell Town  2

On a day made for football a depleted HT U9B's saw their efforts come up short, as they went down 2-6 score line. This flattered the home side. HT hade the bare number of players many playing out of position and they came away with very little to show for there overall effort, which deserved more.

The first half saw both teams play in patches. Junior Bees broke the dead lock to take a 1-0 lead. This seemed to spur on HT as they were to square the match when good work from SAMIR SHAFFI saw the ball break to RYAN CARROLL who turned and tucked the ball away out of the keepers reach. As in the past HT were caught napping from the restart as Junior Bees re-established there lead which they took to half time.

The game could have gone either way in the second half but from some reason RYAN CARROLL became involved in a running battle with the Junior bees defence, as the game was stopped a number of times for the HT coaching staff to treat him as he persevered from his right midfield spot. These stoppages seem to distract HT as they lost there shape and got caught ahead of the ball resulting in Junior Bees extending there lead. At this point HT caved in and conceded a further 3 goals in quick succession as stand in keeper ELLIOT MAYNARD was left exposed.

HT did mange to score a final consolation from what was questionable the best bit of football in the whole game as DANDI SYLA fired in from the left after a moved that started outside there own penalty area. HT man of the match went to EOGHAN MCNELIS who tried in vane to stop Junior bees from defensive role

First half Hanwell started the stronger team creating chances but not converting them. 0 - 0 half time. Second half Hanwell continued on top and finally broke the deadlock through RAHUL KALHAN. Hanwell then decided they had won the game and stopped playing football. Bedfont came straight back into the game and they went on to score twice in the last five minutes to take the spoils. The second goal was a goalkeeping nightmare. Man of the match was JOHN CAHILL who despite a boot in the face in the first half did well to set up the goal in the second.
