ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY:

Hanwell Town Youth F.C. is responsible for setting standards and values to apply throughout the club at every level. Football belongs to and should be enjoyed by everyone, equally. Our commitment is to confront and eliminate discrimination whether by reason of sex, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion, or disability.

Equality of opportunity at Hanwell Town Youth FC means that in all our activities we will not discriminate or in any way treat anyone less favourably , on grounds of sex, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion, or disability. This includes:

Advertisements for volunteers
Selection of candidates for volunteers
Selection and availability of training courses
External coaching and education activities and awards
Football development activities
Selection for teams
Appointments to honorary positions

Hanwell Town Youth FC will not tolerate sexual or racial harassment or other discriminatory behaviour, whether physical or verbal , and will work to ensure that such behaviour is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs.

Hanwell Town Youth FC is committed to the development of a programme of ongoing training and awareness-raising events and activities, in order to promote the eradication of discrimination within the club and within football as a whole.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY

Hanwell Town Youth FC is committed to a policy of equal treatment of all members and requires its members at all levels to abide by and adhere to this general principle and the requirements of the Codes of Practice issued from time to time by the Equal Opportunities Commission, and the Commission for Racial Equality.

All members are expected to abide by the requirements of the Race Relations Acts , the Sex Discrimination Act 1986, and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. The following are specifically prohibited:

Treating any individual on grounds of sex,  race, ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation or disability less favourably than others

Requiring an individual solely on any of the above grounds to comply with requirements related to their membership which are different from the requirements applied to others.

Imposing requirements on an individual which are, in their effect, more onerous for that individual than they are for others. Eg. Applying a condition which makes it more difficult for members of a particular race or sex to comply with than others not of that race or sex.

Victimisation of an individual

Harrassment of an individual  or discrimination against an individual.

Any act or omission which has as its effect ,the disadvantage of a member or a particular group of members on any of the above grounds.

Hanwell Town Youth FC commits itself to the prompt investigation of any allegations of discrimination on any of the above grounds, and where such allegations are upheld, to impose suitable disciplinary sanctions against any member found to have committed any such act of discrimination, in accordance with the club's Disciplinary Procedure, including , in appropriate cases, dismissal from the club.
Hanwell Town Youth FC commits itself to making such reasonable adjustments for  disabled members in all of its policies, training, facilities, events and  matches as may be reasonably required to enable disabled members to participate as fully as possible in the activities of the club without suffering any detriment.
