Hanwell Town 1 Yeading Youth 4
Hanwell took the lead through a penalty by OMAR FAZLI but Yeading equalised after a defensive error by Hanwell. They took the lead just before half time. Then an odd goal by Yeading after a stoppage. And as Hanwell tried to push Yeading broke and scored their fourth in a physical contest and as Hanwell lost concentration Yeading out played. Man of the match for Hanwell was ROHAN HUHN who tried to keep going

Sandgate 3 Hanwell Town A 5
The A team travelled to Sandgate looking for a much needed win to boost their season. The conditions were muddy and wet but the As made the best of their passing game and took an early lead through MICHAEL ANTHONY on 10 minutes. The A team then made it 2-0 through captain JOE WEBB (26) but let Sandgate right back in it after some confusion at the back. Sandgate pressed for an equaliser but The A team held on till half time. JOE WEBB got his second (39) after the restart with a cheeky back heal before HARRY MAGUIRE
(42) made it 4-1 with a well taken strike. DAVID GRACE then made some outstanding saves before tiredness let Sandgate get 2 goals to get nerves on edge in the Hanwell camp. However, SAM KHARAS (65) steadied the ship with a good finish to make it 5-3 to Hanwell who were well deserving of their victory. There were several excellent performances today- BEN READHEAD did well in defence and Sandgate old boy ROBBIE HEDGES stood up well to some special treatment. However, man of the match goes to MICHAEL ANTHONY who showed outstanding character in the face of a sustained onslaught of egregious tackles and seemed to get stronger with each hit. Well done Mike and well done the A team for an excellent team display.

Man of the match BEN STANIER scored twice as Hanwell won out a hard fought victory against WDU. STANIER was everywhere even popping up to do a bit of defending but it wasn't all a one man show as the whole team dug in to make the points secure. Well done guys.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY CUP
Thamesbank Dynamoes 5 Hanwell Town 3
(After extra time)
A really good game of football that could have gone either way. Hanwell competed at every level with an organised strong home side. 3 - 3 at full time it became all about who would score first in extra time. Thamesbank struck and as Hanwell pushed to equalise they exposed themselves at the back to make an ill deserved 2 goal deficit for the record books. Goals for Hanwell from OLIVER PHILLIPS (2) and SEAN EARLES
Under 12A
Junior Bees 1 Hanwell Town 1
A rare non victory for the normally all conquering Under 12A team. SAFFI FAZLI equalised just before the break. The home side were obviously more comfortable than Hanwell on this narrow pitch and in what was a rare poor performance by the current champions and cup holders.

Hanwell Town 10 Northolt Saints 0
Hanwell got their first win of the season at last and two hat-trick heroes to boot! They did so in some style against league newcomer's Northolt. It was good to see the team, 5-0 up at half-time, continue to press forward and but for some wayward finishing and good goalkeeping would have scored even more. JAKE SHIELS and SEAN KELLY both scored hat-tricks, JORDON WITTER netted twice to mark his birthday and NATHAN MCLEOD and KAVI LUCHOWA with a long range effort scored one a piece. Enjoyable as the goals were, it was also excellent to see the team record a clean-sheet

Hanwell were really in charge against higher placed league opposition in this game throughout after scoring 2 goals early on. However, following an unfortunate injury to MASAYUKI NOGUCHI and a bit of rearranging WDU made them sweat by scoring just before the break. Hanwell restored the two goal cushion after the break before conceding from a welll worked short corner. Hanwell held on to what should have been a more comfortable victory than it proved. Two goals from Man of the match LUKE JONES and one from SAM POMPILLIS proving enough in the end.

Bedfont Eagles 1 Hanwell Town 1
In the first 10 minutes of this game the U9s produced some of their best passing football of the season. Bedfont then managed a shot on target which keeper SEAN CARROLL knocked away. Hanwell then applied more pressure as chance after chance came their way. Just when you began to think it was not going to happen TASHAN DWYER managed to lob the keeper for a deserved lead. If Hanwell could keep it going surely the game was theirs. A slip at the back let Bedfont in, giving the keeper no chance. The second half started with Bedfont on top but Hanwell wore them down and began peppering the goal. 4 times Hanwell hit the woodwork and the Bedfont keeper made some outstanding saves. However there were to be no more goals but not from the want of trying. Man of the match JAMIE BUIST was relentless in midfield and like both sets of players earned applause from an appreciative crowd who were thoroughly entertained by proceedings.

For the U9B's this week's game can be summed up in a few words "that's football". The U9B's showed that last weeks result against the same opposition was unjust with a performance that on another day would have seen them win comfortably.
Once the game settled down HT started to show that they were no push over and competed for every ball. This "team" effort resulted in them creating a number of opportunities only to find the JB keeper on top of his game. Half time arrived with HT still unable to break the dead lock.
The second half started as a more even affair and as a result of a JB attack, and a lucky break, HT found themselves one nil down with keeper MICHAEL CONNOLLY picking the ball out of the net having been beaten from close range. This turned out to be JB only serious assault on the HT goal as from the resulting kick-off HT pressed forward looking for the equaliser. Again HT were unable to beat a keeper in inspired form as he stopped all HT could muster.
Eventually HT ran out of time and the game was gone, however the overall performance was a vast improvement on recent efforts and the HT MOTM went to RYAN "FRANK" BOWER-MOORE, who epitomised the HT performance.

Manor Youth 5 Hanwell Town 1
Playing against a team that has regularly scored double figures Hanwell were absolutely brilliant. Unfortunate to be 3-0 down at half time with 2 of the goals being deflected own goals, Hanwell never let their heads drop. If chances were taken then the score could quite easily have been level. Second half started with Hanwell scoring first with HAMZAH KHAN beating the keeper when put through. Hanwell continued to create chances but were unable to put any more away. 2 more goals were conceded another of which was a deflected own goal. Hanwelll will not play against a better team than Manor Youth this year and the final score flattered them. If Hanwell continue to play and battle against teams the way they did on sunday they will not get beaten very often. No player of the match this week as every single player was superb

Middlesex County Cup
Hanwell Town A 4 Park View Rangers 2
One of the interesting things about the county cup is that it can often put you up against a team about which you know nothing. The A team's opponents this week - Park View Rangers- were just such a team. As it
turned out, Hanwell came through comfortably at the end but were made to work hard for 50 minutes. Despite early pressure the As went behind to a well taken PVR goal but equalised shortly afterwards through ROBERT KEOGH . Hanwell then took the lead after good pressure by AARON NELSON paid off. Rangers restored parity after a moment of discombobulation in the Hanwell defence and half time saw te score stay at 2-2. Hanwell restarted the stronger and despite an awful pitch and hit Rangers with some good football. This pressure saw resulted in another goal each for ROBERT and AARON. Rangers tried to get back into it but the Hanwell defence held firm with good displays from PERRY HEASLIP and BEN REDHEAD.The final whistle came with the score 4-2 to Hanwell. This was a good team effort but man of the match goes to centre forward AARON NELSON , not just for his brace of goals but also his willingness to get back and defend for the team, often covering in his own full back positions. On to the next round and no doubt provide more stiff opposition.

Hanwell Town B 11 Pinner Albion 2
The U14B were the beneficiary of this particular mismatch drawn out of the County Cup hat. Always comfortable Hanwell piled on the pressure from the off and Pinner were down and out after the first 5 minutes. It was not if but how many and the 14Bs passed their target of 10 by 1 goal but Pinner to their credit never gave up hitting Hanwell twice. SCORERS TO FOLLOW

Hanwell were victorious against Manor Youth and once again it was a close game where Hanwell won the first 35 hands down and were 2-0 up by the turnaround. In the second half the opposition started brightly and got stuck in a lot more gaining their reward for 2 -. Hanwell doubled their efforts and their goal total and although they conceded once more the game by then was safe. Hanwell scorer's SEAN EARLES (2), and OLIVER PHILLIPS (2)

Hounslow Borough 1 Hanwell Town 20
A shambles of a game in its organisation. Much debate by the home team about which pitch to play on and when this was decided at the referee's and Hanwell team's instance there was no ball provided.. Fortunately, the Hounslow Borough performance matched their organisation. Hanwell scored 10 in each half in what was a businesslike rather than a pretty performance. Goals were scored by SAFFI FAZLI (5), GEORGE BROWN (5), JUSTIN MAIZEY 3, MATTHEW SINGH 2 and WILLIAM LUCAS, CALLUM BUIST, JOSH BROWN, PAUL UNDERWOOD and birthday boy HARRY HOPKINS a goal apiece. It should be noted that the Hanwell coach was extremely disappointed to concede a goal.

Hanwell endured a frustrating County Cup experience, playing some of their best football of the season but losing out to two first half goals. In an evenly contested game, Hanwell put their passes together well but when they did get through found the Kodak keeper in inspired form. The closest they came was a NATHAN MCLEOD effort that hit the inside of the post and rebounded out – which summed up the match!

Hanwell Town 2 Heathrow AFC 2
Hanwell started like a team with a score to settle after a 3 - 0 loss to these opponents a few weeks ago. For 10 minutes they stroked the ball beautifully creating chances and had their opponents on the rack taking the lead after a cross into the box caused enough chaos for a Heathrow player to knock it in his own net. Hanwell could not keep up the momentum and allowed a Heathrow player to run through and score an equaliser. Just before half time Hanwell failed to clear their lines and Heathrow took the lead with only their second shot on goal. Hanwell were the more dominant side in the second half but could only score the once through a cheeky glance from TASHAN DWYER off BRADLEY VENTOUR'S swinging back post pass. This restored parity but the Heathrow keeper was by far the busier of the two throughout the game. Hats off to the Hanwell keeper for a point blank save just before full time - a third for Heathrow would have proved a grave injustice on what was a good performance by Hanwell. Man of the match for Hanwell MATTHEW PHILLIPS

Hillingdon Saints 2 Hanwell Town 6
Starting briskly, Hanwell soon found themselves 2 goals to the good through GEORGE 'MAGIC BOOTS PEARSON and 'FRANK' BOWER MOORES who got on the end of a low cross from DANDI SYLA for a tap in. HT could now taste victory the trouble was the game was only 7 minutes old!
As Hanwell pushed on in the search of goals they left themselves exposed at the back, the saints then came back into the game when and scored midway through the half. HT did not take heed from this warning and continued to push forward and HS again took advantage of the space at the back to draw level at 2 a piece. Half time came at just the right time for HT.
The start of the second half was a scrappy affair until eventually the deadlock was broken when MAGIC BOOTS PEARSON latched on to a defensive error to put HT back into the lead. This seemed to knock the stuffing out of HS and give HT the boost they needed. PEARSON completed his hatrick HT proceeded to and further goals from DANDI SYLA and finally SAMIR SHAFFI wrapped things up. The PEARSON hatrick made him man of the match. Well done boys for grinding out the win, a good effort.

Hanwell continued where they left off last week, playing some cracking football and competing for every ball. Midway through the first half Hanwell won a penalty from a foul on JOHN CAHILL, but unfotunately for Hanwell the keeper pulled off a fine save. Heads never dropped and Hanwell kept battling. 0-0 at half time. Second half continued with Hanwell playing some lovely football and finally broke the deadlock when JOE SHEILS was put through by a fantastic pass from BEN CHILDS. Joe cut in from the left and thundered the ball past the goalkeeper into the back of the net. Hanwell had to soak up some Yeading pressure towards the end and Craig in goal had to tip one round the post to prevent the equalizer. All in all very impressed with the way Hanwell played. Man of the match, BEN CHILDS, for a Rio Ferdinand like performance at the back.

Hillingdon Saints 3 Hanwell Town 4
Talk about making it hard for yourselves. Hanwell went 4 - 0 up through goals from OSMAN HAIDER, OMAR FAZLI, a JOSH GONZALEZ penalty and a beauty from makeshift centre forward MALCOLM BRUCE - a pleasing goal on his return from injury - completely vindicating the managers faith in him. A few decisions went against Hanwell and heads dropped allowing the home team to score twice in quick succession. As Hanwell then argued amongst themselves Hillingdon scored again and Hanwell were left to hang on for the points. The big question is how much of this was due to hard work by Hillingdon and how much by the in fighting from Hanwell side ? Thankfully four goals for Hanwell proved sufficient. - Stick to the football fellas

League Cup
Hanwell Town A 3 Feltham 3
(Lost on Penalties 5 - 4 AET)
To lose on sudden death penalties is never an easy thing to swallow. However, the A team can take considerable heart from a very fine performance that sees their rehabilitation continue. Hanwell were much the better team for the majority of the match but were punished for defensive largesse in the first half that saw Feltham get two soft goals. They fought back tenaciously and deservedly equalised through two well taken goals from AHMED ARBI. The As should have rapped the game up but for some profligate finishing of Kanu proportions from the front line. Penalties followed and Hanwell lucked out 5-4. Hanwell were not unlucky in this match. Poor finishing is not bad luck- it's bad finishing. And that's what let Hanwell down in the end. Players worked hard and skillfully only to miss easy chances. Discipline, teamwork, tenacity and skill were all on show in abundance however, and there were good performances from AARON NELSON, MICHAEL ANTHONY and DAVID GRACE. Man of the match goes to AHMED ARBI for a great all round performance and for keeping his head to score two goals. Shooting practise on Thursday, lads!

Hanwell Town 2 Heathrow AFC 4
Easy to blame Hanwell's exit from the cup to a dubious decision that cost them a goal. The ref deemed the ball had not crossed the line despite vociferous protests. But that would be too simple an explanation to what was not a good display by the home side. Already 3 - 1 down at half time when this happened, Hanwell did score minutes later and as they pushed to level the game, they got caught in the end to a last gasp goal. Hanwell played like a group of individuals, Heathrow played like a team united and as often happens in cup games the lower league side progress.

The 9As go into the League Cup quarter final draw after a stuttering game against Hayes B. Keeper SEAN CARROL made a splendid save across his goal from Hayes first attack as Hanwell were slow to start. The game settled and goals came as Hanwell gradually became dominant. A TASHAN DWYER hatrick and goals for JAMIE BUIST, and KYLE LACY ANDREWS made the result a formality. Hanwell then switched off and their concentration lapsed as Hayes battling resulted in their scoring twice. Hanwell then took up the challenge again as the ball got laid back to man of the match LUKE FRANCIS he smashed it into the top right hand corner to underline that only one team was going to go through. The coach would have smiled if if Hanwell could have kept a clean sheet, so good result but loads of room for improvement if this cup run is to continue

Manor Youth B 4 Hanwell Town 2
The U9B's went down 4/2 away to Manor Youth `B'. For all there considerable efforts to come away empty handed was very unjust. After an even first half Hanwell fell behind to a penalty. However the lead did not last too long as HT produced the move of the match, stroking the ball from their own half up the field with RYAN CARROLL completing the play with a strike low into the net for the equalizer.
The second half saw Hanwell go behind again as Manor Youth changed tactics to a long ball game rather than to their passing game of the first half. But again Hanwell showed resolve as they drew level when DANDI SYLA ran through the home defence and finished with a low shot to the keeper's right. The match finally went beyond Hanwell's grasp as Manor Youth scored twice in quick succession to knocked the stuffing out of them. MOTM for HT went to defender PETER BROWNE who was `out on his feet' at the end of cracking game of football where a draw would have been a fairer result.

Playing against a team that beat us 7-0 earlier in the season Hanwell were once again fantastic. Every single player gave 110% effort and the coach could not be prouder of how this group of boys have improved since the start of the season. Hanwell started strongly and took a deserved lead when HAMZAH KHAN finished a neat footballing move after being put through by JACK PICKERING Ballers were never totally outplayed and LUKE GUYMER and BEN CHILDS had to be on their toes to snuff out a few moves. The midfield worked tirelessly to help their defenders and also to support the player up front. Unfortunately for Hanwell, the equalizer came with the last kick of the first half. It was the one time that the Ballers midfield got behind Hanwells and CRAIG TILLYER in goal had no chance with the shot. The second half was end to end stuff with some cracking football being played. Chances were created but unfortunately none were taken. Hanwell would have deserved the victory, but in the end neither team really deserved to lose so a draw was a fair result. Congratulations to both teams for what was a highly entertaining match. Player of the match was JAMIE GOULD for playing his part in a brilliant team performance.

AGV Youth 7 Hanwell Town 0
The 9B's had little to cheer about as they went down fighting to table toppers AGV youth.
As much as they tried they could not match the physical presence or the passing game of AGV. HT were 2 goals down before their first serious attack on the AGV goal produced a good save. This spurred HT on and game settled until AGV carved open the HT defence to increase there lead as half time beckoned.
With AGV now kicking down the slope in the second half the omens did not good for HT. Things where to get worse for HT as the half progressed with 4 players taking heavy knock and thus spending time off the pitch to recover. HT defended for all the might with 6 men on the field but AGV finally broke through when a cross shot took a cruel deflection off a HT defender to wrong foot keeper CONNOLLY. This was all too much for HT as captain ELLIOT MAYNARD re-entered the fray to try to rally his team but to no avail, AGV ran out worthy winners scoring a further 3 times to make the final score 7-0 in AGVs favour. Man of the match went to keeper MICHAEL CONNOLLY who produced a string of good saves to keep the score in check.
A final word from the coach, who was very proud of his players efforts during the second half, playing such a strong side with 6 men, showed great commitment to the cause, well done.

Hanwell Town 1 Explorers 1
Hanwell continued on their recent good run with a good performance against Explorers. Hanwell started strongly and took the lead following some good work from HAMZAH KHAN who crossed the ball for JACK PICKERING to slot home. Hanwell continued to create chances but failed to score any more goals. The second half started with Explorers coming more into the game, and eventually scored the equaliser. This was the wake up call Hanwell needed and started to pick up their game. Hanwell retook the lead when BEN GOULD tapped in following good work from JOHN CAHILL. Once in front Hanwell kept going as the Explorers defence fell apart in the last 5 minutes. Further goals from HAMZAH KHAN (to cap a fine player of the match performance), JAMIE GOULD (his first ever goal for Hanwell Town), and a fine individual effort from JOHN CAHILL made the final score 5-1. Last game till after Christmas, so well done everybody.

Hanwell lost their double header against Heathrow but there plenty of positives to take from the games. But for wayward finishing in the first match, they would have taken a point but eventually went down to a goal in the last 10 seconds of the game. In the second match, Heathrow finished the stronger but Hanwell kept their shape and again had chances they didn't take.

Middlesex County Cup
Under 14 A + B
Hanwell Town A 4 Hanwell Town B 2
The second meeting of the under 14 A and B team this season saw the As once again come away with the win that moves them on to the next round of the County Cup. The difference in the two sides came down to finishing with the B team being more profligate in front of goal and the A team utilising fast counter attacks well. It was from such a break that the A's first came courtesy of DECLAN SPEEDE with ROBERT KEOGHgetting a second. Good pressure from WILL RODERICK put the A team 3 up and KEOGH'S brace made it 4. The B's hit back twice however, and put considerable pressure on the A team, making them work hard for this victory. The A team defence kept their shape well and LUKE NICHOLAS did well against the vulpine skills of BEN STANIER . Man of the match goes to AARON NELSON whose overall efforts
were outstanding.

Double Header
Drayton Villa 3 Hanwell Town 0
Hanwell Town 1 Drayton Villa 2
Hanwell suffered a frustrating start to 2005 in their double header against high-flying Drayton Villa. Villa deservedly took the first game 3-0, with two goals in the first half sealing the result. They then raced into a 1-0 lead within moments of the start of the return match. Hanwell finally started to play a much improved passing game and had numerous chances before JORDAN WITTER equalised. Villa came out strongly in the second half but Hanwell appeared to have weathered the storm and were again creating chances of their own. However, while they failed to convert, Villa took their opportunity - and the points - late in the game. A promising performance though with PIERRE MAZOLLIER having a fine game at the heart of the defence

Charville Athletic 8 Hanwell Town 0
A dire display by the inconsistent Under 16s. A flu ravaged squad competed well in the first half going nto half time just one down. However, they capitulated in some order in the second half as goal after goal flew past the Hanwell keeper. He made a fine penalty save only to drop a patsy shot over the line 2 minutes later. It summed up the game and Hanwell's game. Frankly, the final whistle could not come soon enough.
Middlesex County Cup
Under 14 A
Hanwell Town A 1 Whatling Club 2
The under14 A teams county cup adventure came to an end against a strong Watling club side. Despite being short of several key players, Hanwell took the lead through AHMED ARBI'S 1st half penalty- which also saw
Watling go down to ten men - and defended well against considerable pressure. However, a soft penalty for Watling took the game into extra time and a moments hesitation in defence let Watling nick a goal. Despite this travail the A teams performance was full of promise. Defending was well organised and determined, approach play was silky and the attack was strong. It is a further sign of improvement that the man of the match could go to any one of several players. DAVID GRACE was, once again, peremptory in goal and AHMED ARBI was superb as makeshift centre back. However, man of the match goes to HARRY MAGUIRE whose overall game showed certitude, courage and skill. Well done to the whole team and bad luck.

Hanwell lost three goals in three minutes midway though the first half of the first game, killing the contest. They then played their best football of the double header in the second half, conceding one more goal but with more than enough chances of their own to score. In the second match, Hanwell were outplayed but at least had the consolation of a RICHIE MAKEPIECE goal.

Ballers 4 Hanwell Town 1
Ballers have made great capital out of their artificial surface whose crude taped markings make it barely recognisable as a football pitch. It is small and whilst no doubt accomodating to its regular users, a footballing cuture shock to a Hanwell Side used to grass, proper markings and the comforts of Reynolds Field. Nevertheless, a blasting shot by BEN 'BECKHAM 'CLEMENTS gave Hanwell the lead. They could not hold on as Ballers moved the ball quickly shot on sight and eventually got one past DOM the keeper. A second tap in followed and a contentious penalty made it 3 - 1 to the home side. (With everything else against you there was never a doubt which way thast decision was going to go) Heads dorpped and Ballers got one more but the score did not reflect the efforts of Hanwell who if literally on a level playing field would probably have won the game. Nothing can take away the best goal of the game from BEN - It was a cracker.

Manor Youth 0 Hanwell Town 2
A strong disciplined performance from an improving side. Hanwell took the initiative in the game early on and never really let Manor Youth into the match. A low driven shot from KYLE LACY ANDREWS after a good run from JAMIE BUIST gave Hanwell a more than deserved first half lead. Keeper CARROLL was largely a spectator but when called upon in the second half made a fine near post save to keep out one of Manor Youth's few chances. The game was made safe by Man of the match SOLOMON QUARSHIE who after a one two with ANDREWS fired in an unstoppable shot. The crossbar, the lack of a Russian linesman and a quick decision by the ref denied him another belter. Good work lads. More of the same next week please.

Hanwell Town 1 Isleworth Colts 3
The U9B's first game after the Season break saw them go down 3-1 to division 2 high flyers Isleworth Colts.
HT started the game slowly and at times looked rusty, but the scores remained level mainly thanks to keeper CONNELLY who made a string of good saves. However even he could not keep out a rather fortuitous Colts effort that saw a strong cross from the right go sailing into the top far corner of the his net. Panic then set in, as the HT defence were to gift the Colts a second when a defensive mix up left a Colts striker with an empty net to shot home. HT did have one chance to pull a goal back just before halftime when CARROLL running onto a fine pass from SYLA put his shot wide.
The Second half saw HT play with more sprit and again CARROLL had another fine chance to score when put through by BROWN but again his shot end up wide of the Colts goal. HT where now playing and competing on level turns and they finally got some reward for there effort when SYLA picking up a loose ball in his own half ran deep into the Colts penalty area where his blocked shot fell nicely to RYAN CARROLL to finish, making it third time lucky, and bringing HT right back into the game.
As the game approached its conclusion HT where to be dealt another unlucky blow when captain MAYNARD off the field from his defensive position saw his side concede another soft goal when a long through ball found a Colts striker all alone to blast in giving the HT keeper no chance.
Man of the match went to MICHAEL CONNOLLY for his first half performance, but overall a good effort from everyone.

In the first match back after christmas this was a scrappy affair. Hanwell fielded 2 debutants, ARTHUR ROGERS and SAMIR BOUANANANEand both performed admirably. Niether side seemed to want to take control of the match, though Hanwell were playing the better football they didn't test the goalkeeper untill just before halftime when ARTHUR forced a fine save. The second half saw Hanwell start to dominate but again without testing the Yeading keeper. Hanwell were superb defensively with CRAIG in goal a bystander for most of the match. Shooting practice this Friday boys. All in all not a bad performance after a month off. Player of the match ARTHUR ROGERS, A fine debut to dominate midfield when on the pitch.

This Sundays double header was a strange affair. A tepid and barely conscious A team ambled around Drayton Manor playing fields for the first game and deservedly lost 4-1.AHMED ARBI scored for Hanwell and DAVID GRACE gets man of the match. For the second of the two games Hanwell A team woke up, got stuck in and scored 6 golas for only one in reply. DECLAN SPEEDE (x2), WILLIAM RODERICK , AHMED ARBI , JOE WEBB and AARON NELSON got the goals. Bizarre! Man of the Match goes to ROBERT KEOGH who steadied the midfield and enabled the team to build their attacks effectivley.

The never-say-die spirit that has so often kept Hanwell going in adversity paid off at last. Having allowed Hounslow to be comfortably ahead 3-0, NATHAN MCLEOD pulled one back just before the interval. In an exciting second half, Hanwell chased every ball and two more goals from NATHAN pulled them level. Hounslow weren't finished though and scored once more to put them ahead again. Back came Hanwell and an own goal from a Hounslow player under pressure and a fourth for NATHAN saw Hanwell squeeze home. A fantastic second half display by the team

A game where Hanwell laboured to victory. Man of the match JOHNATHON BURSE scored twice as Hanwell made hard work of what should have been a more comfortable victory. The 9AS cup run came to an end as they lost their first game in 7. Starting slowly they gifted Hayes an early goal. Gaining their composure they pushed and earned a penalty that unfortunately failed to find its target. Hayes scenting it might be their day pushed and stole another after some sloppy marking. Hanwell gave another goal away from a corner just before the turn. The second half saw a much improved performance but the real difference between the teams was Hayes were clinical in pouncing on the Hanwell errors . Despite a large amount of possession and passages of good play Hayes grabbed another whilst Hanwell did everything but score. A good match for the learning curve and a result from which Hanwell must take heart as it flattered the home team.

Cowley Youth B 1 Hanwell Town 1
A fine performance from a six man U9b's side saw them dominate a full strength Cowley Youth B team for long periods of the game and to come away with only a point at the end, seems a little unjust. From the start HT decided to give it a go and played there best football of the season as they took the game to Cowley. Hanwell were first on the board through DANDI SYLA, scoring with a low drive from just inside the area. However CY were to level the scores within minutes, with a scrappy close range effort. HT were not to be deterred and saw out the half giving as good as they got.
The second half saw Hanwell miss chance after chance as they pressured the CY goal but alas it wasn't to be, (on another day they could have had 4 or 5) but that is football! The performance was far better than the result suggested as all team members worked hard and played football making the absence of the seventh man unnoticeable.
Hanwell motm went to all of them, "the team" because today they were a team. Well done to all of you, from a very proud coach.

Acton Sports1 Hanwell Town A 3
Hanwell returned to winning ways with a good performance against physical opposition. The match started slowly with Acton having more of the ball without really troubling Hanwell's defence. Hanwell took the lead following a good freekick from BEN CHILDS. HAMZAH KHAN got on the end of it and buried the ball into the bottom corner. Hanwell then started to dominate and created more chances without being able to extend their lead before halftime. The second half started with Hanwell in total control, and extended the lead with a first goal for the club for JACK SOLOMAN, and a penalty from BEN CHILDS (also his first goal for the club). Being in a 3-0 lead Hanwell started to relax and allowed Acton back into the game. Once they had scored to make it 3-1 and CRAIG TILLYER in goal had pulled off a fantastic save Hanwell regained control and were unlucky not to extend their lead further. Player of the match MIRAN BESARANI. Absolutely superb performance.

League Cup - Quarter Final
North Greenford Utd 2 Hanwell Town 2
(L 5 - 4 Pens AET)
Pulsating Quarter Final Cup tie that saw Hanwell play their best football of the season against high flying North Greenford. Hanwell failed to settle and NGU took advantage in the first 5 minutes. A ball to the back post from a free kick saw an unmarked player fire in a goal in for a 1 nil lead. Hanwell then weathered a torrid 10 minutes with JOSHUA ANDALL and captain SEAN MCNAMARA strong in clearing the lines as the pendelum swung in Hanwell's favour. The midfield then began to dominate, creating chances for AKIN OKUNOLA and ABDI SAAD but no goals before the break. Stand in keeper DAVID HICKLING made one full length save before the break to keep the lead to 1 goal. Straight after the break ABDI SAAD squirmed his way along the goal line and managed to squeeze the ball into the net off a NGU player. The Hanwell dominance then began to tell as OMER FAZLI began to run the game from the middle of the pitch. SAAD popped up again to give Hanwell a deserved 2 - 1 lead. All they had to do was hold the ball for 15 minutes to win the tie. NGU threw everything forward but the defence held firm until a few minutes before time when a Hanwell keeper dropped a weak looking shot over the Hanwell line. - No ROY CARROLL escape this time. Extra time proved fruitless and HANWELL lost out in the lottery of penalties . A game they should have and deserved to win. Fabulous football, great entertainment disappointing conclusion.

Hanwell always looked the better side. A hatrick for the consistent LUKE JONES with the other goals from CALLUM DUFFY (2) JOHNATHON BURSE, JORDAN HANNINGTON and SAM POMPILLIS. It was the latter who stole the show as man of the match showing his utlity by playing at the back. Perhaps the result is more important than the performance. Hanwell played poorly scoring a goal in each half through TASHAN DWYER and SOLOMON QUARSHIE which was just about enough to win the game. A mix up at the back on full time cost Hanwell a clean sheet. Regardless, the win is enough to see Hanwell up to fourth in the league. Man of ther match LUKE FRANCIS.
