Forest United  1 Hanwell Town 1
(Won 4 - 2 on Pens)

Under 15A
Charville Athletic B 1 Hanwell Town A 7

Hanwell won this game easily without having really got into top gear. The domination of the A team was demonstrated by the fact that strikers DECLAND SPEEDE and MICHAEL ANTHONY were profligate in front of goal yet both still managed to score scored hatricks. The conditions didn't help much as strong winds and rain made for difficult passing but some of Hanwell's football was top notch and the service from the midfield was excellent. The defence dealt with the conditions well and all in al it was a good team effort. Hanwell's seventh goal was scored by SAMIN KHARAS who made the midfields contribution to the score line. Man of the match goes to ROBERT KEOGH for his tireless running down the wings.

Hanwell Town 6 Samba FC 1

The whole squad contributed to a magnificent performance. It should have been more than 6 and this victory has been coming for some weeks. Goals from MATTHEW GROUNDWATER, HARRY HORNE, A ABUBAKER, ALEX PAINE  and 2 from SEAN EARLES. Fantastic lads keep it up.

Hanwell Town 3 Hayes Youth 2

The passion was back for the U13A team after an unusual run of indifferent form. It was always going to be close and 1 - 0 became 1 -1 became 2 - 1 and 2 - 2. Both Hanwell goals through SAFFI FAZLI.  Hanwell hit the woodwork and tested the keeper and eventually got the  winner through JOSH BROWN. Happy days are here again.

Hanwell Town 7 Junior Bees 3

One of the best ever performances by a Hanwell U13B team saw them rallying from 2-0 down to giantkill Premiership Junior Bees out of the League Cup. RICHIE MAKEPEACE (4), RAF KOCHAJ, NICK SCOTT and CHRIS COCKBURN scored the goals but the foundation was a magnificent team performance, in which every player did their job. Hanwell showed great character after giving away a couple of early soft goals and were level mid-way though the first half. After the break, and with the strong wind behind them, Hanwell’s passing and pressing was tremendous. They simply tore the Bees apart.

Junior meads had improved markedly from the side that lost to Hanwell 11 - 0 in a pre season friendly. Like many sides as the season they improve.Hanwell scored early a handsome goal from LUKE JONES .Hanwell dominated for the whole match but could not score again. It seemed they just could not could not adjust to having a harder game than expected.JUNIOR MEADS never looked like getting a goal and the score line flattered them a tad.MOM ELLIOT STANION

   Feltham  3  Hanwell Town 1

Horrible cold Sunday morning. The pitch was terrible,  long, glass one end, no grass the other, and thousands of leaves, just what Hanwell needed to play their beautiful passing game on. The first 15minutes it was Hanwell working hard and Feltham playing the same style as every other team in this division (kick and chase game) The ref gave Feltham a free kick on the edge of Hanwell's penalty box, the keeper misjudged it and pushed the ball into his own goal.

Hanwell picked themselves up and with BEN and DEVANTE up front it was only a matter of time before we got back into it.  And it didn't take long, a mistake at the back, DEVANTE raced onto the ball. he was then kicked in the box. PENALTY!!!! Up stepped BEN ICEMAN CLEMENTS GOAL top corner. The ref disallowed it making Ben retake it , with the keeper  off his line and he made a lucky save.

Feltham then went forward and cored two goals that were dubious through offside. The boys learnt a very big lesson here.

 Hanwell Town 6 Hayes Youth B  4

Hanwell ground out a hard fought victory against a much improved Hayes B team to progress in the cup. Hayes took the lead after a speculative looping shot bounced over the Hanwell keeper. After much pressure Hanwell got their desrved equaliser through a Beckham like DANDI SYLA free kick. In the second half despite starting more brightly Hanwell went behind after being caught at the back. A goal from TASHAN DWYER restored equalibrium before a left foot drive by man of the match SYLA took Hanwell  into the lead. Heads dropped on the home side and Hanwell pressed the advantage as SOLOMON QUARSHIE grabbed two quick goals.  As the game petered out a goal further for each side, MARTY MCDONAGH for Hanwell made the score look closer than the game suggested.

Hanwell Town 9 Acton Sports B 0

The U10B's put in a workman performance to finally dispatch an inexperienced Acton Sports side 9-0. Hawell lead at the half by 4 with goals from "STEADY" EDDIE OKAIDJA (2) OWAIN "HENRY" TAYLOR and RYAN CARROLL.

The second half saw another goal for CARROLL and one for CONOR O'NEILL, and a quick fire hat trick from GEORGE "MAGIC BOOTS" PEARSON. MOTM went to RYAN CARROLL for his use of the ball in poor conditions, overall no real complaints but there's always room for improvement!

Hanwell Town 2 Hayes Youth 4

As a contest the Lions didn't really compete the way they can in this one. The game actually started really well for the Lions as they found themselves 1-0 up virtually straight from kick off. As the ball was played through the Hayes defence and HAMZAH KHAN made it extremely difficult for the keeper leaving BEN GOULD to tap home into an empty net. Hayes then took control of the game and created all of the better chances without actually testing CRAIG TILLYER in goal. The equaliser was almost scored when a shot was cracked against the bar but the Lions defence did well to clear. The Lions then went 2-0 up with their second shot of the match. ARTHUR ROGERS picked the ball up on the half way line and drove forward before unleashing a shot the beat the Hayes goalie for pace. This gave the Lions an undeserved 2-0 halftime lead. Unfortunately their luck was to run out in the second half.

Within 2/3 mins of the second half Hayes pulled 1 back, and the Lions reacted as if they had lost the match. As a result Hayes were level within another 2 mins. After the equaliser went in something strange happened, the keeper had a funny turn and was removed from the pitch for his behaviour, OLIVER JONES volunteered to go in goal (thanks OLLIE), and other players were playing with tears in their eyes. 2-2 quickly became 3-2 to Hayes. The Lions did almost score an equaliser but 1 chance was saved by the Hayes keeper and another was blocked on the line. Hayes then wrapped up the result by scoring the 4th. This performance was unlike anything the Lions have ever delivered before. Everybody can except that teams have an off day every now and again, but heads have never dropped like they did during this match. After a long chat with the Lions goalie with respect to what happened to him during the game I have come to the conclusion that it was because it was a cup match. It seems that the players went out to play with the attitude that they mustn't lose or they would be out. In other matches played they go out there wanting to win, so if they concede they try to score more. In the previous round of the cup the boys didn't know that it was a cup match and they just went out and played. Cup run over for this season and in the words of every manager that ever gets knocked out of the cup 'now we can concentrate on the league'.

Under 9B
Bedfont Eagles 1 Hanwell Town 4

Another great result for the Tigers. The match started well for the Tigers who put pressure on the Eagles from the word go. Chances were created but Tigers had to wait about 10 mins for the first goal, when they were awarded a penalty for handball. OMAR BARZEY RILEY duly smashed the ball home. The rest of the first half was a good even battle with no more goals being scored and the Tigers leading 1-0 at half time. The second half saw the Tigers take the game by the scruff of the neck and it wasn't long before a 2nd was scored. OMAR went on a run but was tackled just outside the box, the ball fell nicely to JOE SHEILS who took a touch to compose himself before smashing the ball past the keeper into the roof of the net.

The Eagles then started to get into the game, creating chances without testing JACK PICKERING in goal. A goal was finally put past JACK (the first since opening game of season) to bring the score to 2-1. This only proved to make the Tigers stronger and they pushed forward again and were awarded another penalty, again for handball. OMAR took it with the same result. 3-1 Tigers. This kept the Tigers on the front foot and it wasn't long before OMAR completed his hat-trick. He picked up the ball in the attacking half of the pitch, beat a couple of defenders before smashing the ball past the keeper. Eagles did have a couple of chances before the end but the Tigers held on for a deserved win. Player of the match OMAR BARZEY RILEY. Hat-trick hero.

 Hanwell Town 0 Parkfield 1

For the umpteenth game in a row Hanwell U16s started by going 1 - 0 down. With lady luck abandoning you and the post and crossbar conspiring with her, it ended this years run in the County Cup. The only consolation is in football terms the seond half belonged to Hanwell, unfortunately the result and victory belonged to Parkfield.

Hanwell Town A 8 West Drayton Explorers 5

West Drayton Explorers must be sick of the sight of Black and White stripes having played the A team three times and the B team once in the last 5 weeks. They've lost all four games as well and have conceded 19 goals to the A team, 8 of which came today. On this occasion Hanwell were 5 nil up at half time and lost their way somewhat after the break. Some changes to the team led to a catastrophic loss of shape and Hanwell conceded 5 goals, all of which, bar a good free kick, could have been avoided. But at the end of the day the A scored 8 goals and were never in danger of losing. MICHAEL ANTHONY got four today - Explorers just couldn't live with him! DECLAND SPEED got one as did HARRY MAGUIRE, ROBERT KEOGH and JOE WEBB. Man of the match goes to ARRAN WILDING for good work all over the park. The A can expect harder opposition next week in the county cup but it will be a welcome challenge for the lads who have, maybe, found the matches a little unchallenging of late.

Acton Sports 3 Hanwell Town B 4

The Under 14s played their best half an hours football of the season to go 3 - 0 up.  Conceding one just before the turn around, an injury to the goalkeeper forcing a change made for a tense and exciting game. Acton scored again and the contest was back on  Hanwell scored again and hung on for a thoroughly deserved win. Scoreres HARRY HORNE , ALEX PAINE, SEAN EARLES  and MATTHEW GROUNDWATER.

Under 13A
Hanwell Town A 0 Worcester Park Colts 4

WPC made use of tall players to score twice from corners  to take a comfortable lead in a game where they were often second best to footballing skill. They also made two of very few chances count whereas Hanwell are left to rue the ball hitting the post and crossbar and a hatful of missed chances that keeps their score firmly at nil.

Under 13B
  Brook House 2 Hanwell Town A 1

Third placed Hanwell fought hard but lost away against second placed Brook House. Hanwell conceded their usual early soft goal before battling back in a tough, physical encounter. They equalised when RICHIE MAKEPEACE continued his remarkable run of scoring in every game this season. However, just before half time they fell behind again. An injury to goalkeeper JAKE SCHOOLHEIFER - who collided with a post - meant more disruption with KAVI LUCHOWA taking over after the break. Nevertheless, it was Hanwell who came closest to scoring, looking unlucky to see an "equaliser" disallowed.

Under 12 Girls
 Hanwell Town 6 Pitshanger 4

A tough start for Hanwell girls as last seasons league champions Pitshanger claimed an early goal, however our turn came with 2 goals scored in quick succession. SOPHIE HANDLEY and GABY BROWNE were relentless on the wings and with ELLEN CLABBURN as central defender the back 3 were a reliable force. With OLIVIA REDMOND , ASHLEY CHEATLEY and SAMANTHA BULLEN on fine goal scoring form and ASHLEIGH HARTE making some fine saves we worked well together to have a 4-1 half time lead.

The second half saw a very brave ELLEN take on the role of keeper making a string of wonderful saves and maintaining Hanwell's lead that Pitshanger did well to contest, particularly the last 15 mins when they went on a bit of a scoring run. Ali as always worked tirelessly on the left and did well pushing the ball up and running back in defence.

LAUREN, ASHLEIGH and ELLIE came on as focused defenders, and ELLIE's willingness to throw herself in front of the ball and clear the ball so confidently made her the obvious choice as player of the match. Goals from OLIVIA (3), ASHLEY (2) and SAM (1) had the final score Hanwell 6 Pitshanger 4 GO ON HANWELL!!

 Hanwell Town 1 Sandgate 1

Hanwell were expecting a hard game and thats just how it was.Sandgate were fast and physical and Hanwell struggled to cope for periods of the game.Despite this neither team looked like scoring though Hanwell were probably edging it on that front. Inevitably that said Sandgate the goal came against the run of play scored from a very harsh penalty decision in the second half which was unfortunate as Hanwell were begining to dominate at the time. Hanwell continued to press and in the dying moments of the game, with the Sandgate manager despratley appealing for full time whistle, Hanwell got their just rewards.A through ball from CHARLIE BECK found NIALL KIRKLAND on the edge of the area, side stepping a challenge he hit the ball hard and low across the face of the goal burying it in the botton left corner.A goal which could well prove the most important of the season. Under 11B
Warden HA 11 Hanwell Town 0

There was a feeling that this was going to be a hard match based on Warden's previous results and goals scored against them. However, 11 - 0 was a bit harsh. For first half most of the play was in the Hanwell half but defending really well, player of the week ROHAN and Maan of the match DEVANTE doing a great job in central defence. With DANIEL and JOSH on the flanks holding there  wingers. It was a relief relief to only be 2 down at half time. The second half started with JOSH being replaced by ELLIOT.  Again unfortunately, the game was largely played in the Hanwell half but they did create one good chance. Warden appeared to be unduly aggressive in a match they were dominating. . It was not too long before they
scored again then the flood gates opened with 9 goals in the second half.  During the half, JOSH was moved up front with BEN with ANTHONY on the wing. MATTHEW LEE moved to midfield next to JOHN who was forever in the action. JOSH and BEN change the kick off enabling the ball to move forward quicker and ANTHONY caused a lot of problems on the
wing with his pace unfortunately with no end result. Considering the opposition it was an opportunity to ry a few different positional changes and on the whole the team reacted well. Well to all the other players that played TOM in goal, MATTHEW WRAYS . JACK , DQUAN & MICHAEL .

Warden just showed Hanwell how to play as a team. They are a very strong and well organized team and Hanwell we will not be the last club that to be on the tail end of a cricket score.

Under 10A
Charville Athletic 2 Hanwell Town 5

Hanwell dominated a first half but lacked the clinical edge in the final third. Straight from the half team talk they rectified it with SOLOMON QUARSHIE scoring. His second moments later and a beautiful header from BRADLEY VENTOUR after a fine cross made the game safe. A stabbed effort from KYLE LACEY ANDREWS and a final goal from LUKE FRANCIS on his return were good value for the win. However, switching off after positional changes to allow Charville straight down the middle twice helped to flatter them in the scoreline.

Under 10B
Cowley Youth 5 Hanwell Town 4

The U10B's learnt a few harsh lessons, as they went down 5-4 away to Cowley Youth `B' in a game they deserved something from.

They learnt because you are leading 1-0, 3-1, and 4-2 you are not guaranteed to win the game, they learnt that you have to play to final whistle (even if there is additional time added to the second half) and they learnt if you watch the other team will play! However, saying that there were many good things to be taken from this game.

Hanwell worked hard and looked organised in the first half, and took the lead with a RYAN CARROLL break away goal, slotting home in the bottom left hand corner. This lead was held until the last kick of the half when Cowley equaliser.

The second half started well for Hanwell as OWAIN "HENRY" TAYLOR unleashed an unstoppable shot which the Cowley keeper could only push high into his own net. This was followed in quick succession by a Cowley defender putting through his own goal from a pull back from CARROLL following an excellent run down the left wing.

At this point Hanwell decided the game was won and switched off, allowing Cowley to score and give them new hope. Hanwell did score a forth through PETER BROWNE'S quick thinking long range shot but the writing was on the wall they tiered rapidly and Cowley came on strong scoring 3 goals in the last (extra) 5 minutes to steal the game.Stand in keeper CONOR O'NEILL earned a man of the match accolade with some brave saves.

Under 9A
West Drayton Boys Club 1 Hanwell Town 7
This was a match that the Lions dominated from the start and showed that last week was a minor hiccup. Numerous chances were created before BEN GOULD finally made one count. His turn and shot from the edge of the area was fantastic. It didn't take long to make it 2 when good work from RAHUL KALHAN freed HAMZAH KHAN who made no mistake with his finish. Before half time ARTHUR ROGERS made it 3 with a crisp finish. If chances had been taken then the Lions could have been out of sight before the break.

The second half started at a blistering pace and within 10 mins the Lions were 7-0 ahead. Firstly ARTHUR scored twice to complete his hat-trick (and earn himself a fiver off his nan), then GEORGE BYRON got in on the act following in a shot and getting the rebound. ARTHUR then finished the Lions scoring after being put through by OLIVER JONES, his first shot was parried by the keeper but
he was alert enough to slot home the rebound. Fair play to WDBC because their heads never dropped and they kept going. Their reward came just before the final whistle when a fine shot beat CRAIG TILLYER in goal. The only criticism of this performance was that after scoring 7 playing some good football the Lions started to do things individually rather than continuing to play as a team.
Player of the match ARTHUR ROGERS, scorer of 4.

Under 9B
Challenger Youth 3 Hanwell Town 4

The first half saw Hanwell playing up the considerable slope and they immediately found themselves under pressure.Challenger soon made the pressure count and took a 1-0 lead.Hanwell found themselves in the unusual position of being behind but responded positively straight from the kick off with a determined
run and shot from OMAR BARZEY RILEY which was followed up and finished by MIRAN BARSANI.The rest of the half saw Hanwell struggle with the slope although the second goal conceded was poor defending from a corner which resulted in a deflected own goal.CFC managed a third goal to go in at half time with a
comfortable lead.

The second half saw the game turn on its head with Hanwell producing their best second half performance of the season. He may only be little but JOSH NORRIS showed what a big heart he has with a brilliant display of skill, dribbling and work rate. His precision pass allowed OMAR to pull one back early in the second half and OMAR scored again to make the scores level. It was only fitting that man of the match JOSH NORRIS was there to score the winner after a wicked deflection over the Challenger keepers head.

This was another great team performance and to win the match when things seemed to be going against them showed what great character and determination this team have,a special mention to JACK SOLOMON who filled in in goal with a faultless performance.

Under 8B
Manor Colts 3 Hanwell Town 4

An excellent first half performance by Hanwell was built around a top class midfield display; RIO WILKS won every ball in midfield and denied Colts time and space. ROBBIE CONNOLLY put in his best performance for the club constantly running at the Colts defence and delivering early balls into the Colts penalty area one of which Jacob Crosby drove home to open the scoring. JACOB scored his second goal an outstanding half volley from a corner. MANINDER BAINS rubbed salt into Colts wounds, David Beckham like he shot from the half way line into the top corner of the Colts net. 3-0 was a flattering half time score line due to a superb performance from DANIEL OTCHERE in the Hanwell goal.
The second half started well with JOSHUA BERKATI latching onto a trough ball from ANDREW DIXON, Josh's finish was pure class. Great credit to Colts at 4-0 down not a single player dropped his head they fought for every ball and scored a well worked goal. This rocked the confidence of the Hanwell defence Colts scored again within 3 minutes to turn the match into a contest again. Colts where finishing the stronger team and with only a minute remaining scored a third, a fantastic volley from a corner kick.
Man of the Match DANIEL OTCHERE a great display in goal that gave Hanwell the victory!

Middlesex County Cup
Under 15A
Hanwell Town 7 Ealing Shamrock 3

The Hard Way. Episode 198. Once again it took adversity to bring out the best in the A Team. Trailing 3-1 with half an hour to go it seemed that it would be a short county cup experience this year. The match had started well and bore all the hallmarks of a standard, run of the mill drubbing of inferior opposition. After a short period of sustained pressure MICHAEL ANTHONY found the net but the lead lasted barely a minute as Shamrock scored with their first meaningful attack. Hanwell piled on looking to restore their lead but couldn't make possession count in the final third. On the stroke of half time Shamrock, who were largely restricted to long ball counter attacks brought a smart save out of 'keeper DAVID GRACE. However, from the resulting corner the ball swung in and fooled the defence to creep straight in at the near post. The half time team talk was difficult as the lads had been doing little wrong. It was just a matter of stepping up a gear and 'keep plugging away' and the goal will come. And come it did, only in the wrong net. Once again the defence were caught flat and Shamrock strikers raced through and scored. From their exuberant celebration you could tell they knew they were mugging the A's and Hanwell looked deflated as a result.

However, they dug deep, cursed and swore and put there heads up. Good skills and a bye line pull back from MICHAEL ANTHONY saw DECLAND SPEEDE pull one back. The A's then piled into the Shamrock defence and MICHAEL ANTHONY'S impetuous performance went from imperfect to predatory as he levelled the score at 3-3. Michael, incidentally, played on today despite having picked up a tiredness injury during a sleep over at a mates house the night before.  Hanwell now smelt blood and tore into the opposition who seemed to retreat and accept the inevitable, having squandered their fortuitous lead. ROBERT KEOGH made it 4-3 then 5-3 and Ealing Shamrocks resistance was over. Michael completed his hatrick (6-3) with a sublime free kick and Robert made it 7-3 for his hatrick, too. It seems that it is only when the A teams loose their rag at their own hubris that they play their best football. Adversity seems to bring out the best in them but the worst in the manager cardio-vascular system. Man of the match is tricky with MICHAEL, DECLAND and ROBERT all staking strong claims. However, PAUL GORMALLY gets the honour for his endlessly running midfield motor which skilfully drove the team forward, even when it seemed like a fruitless travail. Next week sees more knock out action, this time in the league cup. Any chance of simple 2-0 this time, eh lads? What? Eh? Oh..

A great performance from the Under 14s. A high ball in the sub caught out the Hanwell keeper  for a 1-0 lead to Acton at half time. After the turnaround Hanwell competed firecely and got their reward with goals from AHSAN ABU BAKER and a winner from man of the match MATTHEW GROUNDWATER but frankly it could have been any one of the squad. Great stuff.

North Greenford United 4 Hanwell Town 0

The U13Bs County Cup experience came to an abrupt end on this cold and frosty morning. North Greenford scored three first half goals to put themselves in the driving seat on a mud-bath of a pitch at Perivale. Hanwell held their own for the first 20 minutes but found themselves unable to cope with the pace or power of their opponents. They kept plugging away, however, and although they rarely threatened, performed better in the second
half.

Hanwell Girls didnt really know what to expect against another new team to the league. A fairly equal game with both sides attacking and defending well, however Hanwell had a few more chances and Ruislips goal keeper made some fine saves preventing both OLIVIA REDMOND and ASHLEY CHEATLEY'S well placed shots.  Some great play from the team, particularly from LYDIA who played her first Hanwell game, well done!. The game ended 0-0 and our first draw of the season.

The result will always show that Hanwell lost this game by two goals, for those who witnessed the game they will know it did not reflect the play. It was smash and grab for Brook House. The first half saw Hanwell dominate the play and remain relatively untroubled at the back. Forced changes in the second gave Brook House a chance to seize the momentum and from their only two chances they scored twice. Hanwell will have to concentrate on being clinical in front of goal as we all know missed chances don't win games;goals do. Man of the match LUKE FRANCIS.

Hillingdon Saints  0 Hanwell Town 2

What a difference a week makes, last week the U10B's were robbed this week they did the robbing as they left Hillingdon Saints with a 2-0 victory, Saints unbeaten run ended, 3 points and a clean sheet.

Hanwell started brightly and after a good move down the left saw the ball arrive at the feet of "STEADY" EDDIE OKAIDJA who did the rest as he dribbled pass 2 Saints defenders and scooped the ball into the net past the advancing keeper, to open the scoring.

The remainder of the first half saw Hanwell gradually defender deeper and deeper but they held out, until the break. The second half continued were the first finish with Hanwell under more and more pressure as  Keeper MICHAEL CONNOLLY saved his team with a number of important saves and if he couldn't stop them then the woodwork did as Saints tried in vein to equalise.

As the game entered the final stretch Hanwell extended there lead where RYAN CARROLL was on hand to tap in from a yard out after a goalkeeping error.

Man of the match for Hanwell was keeper CONNOLLY, isn't football a funny game!! A special mention goes to OWAIN "HENRY" TAYLOR for providing the luck, and we certainly had it today!

Hanwell Town 2 Ballers FC  3

This was a closely fought contest against a very good Ballers team. The Lions started off the stronger and should have put themselves 2 up inside the first 5 minutes. It was Ballers that took the lead with their first shot of the match. Their striker picked up the ball just inside the Lions half and went on a run, the Lions defence gave him far to much time and space and were punished when he sent an unstoppable shot into the back of the net. Again the Lions pushed forward and created chances without getting their shots away, but it was Ballers who scored again with a carbon copy of the first to make it 2-0. They made it 3-0 from a corner when poor making allowed a Ballers player a free shot at goal. So at half time the Lions found themselves 3 down despite creating numerous chances. The second half started with the Lions scoring. Following good work from MATTHEW CROSBY down the right the ball found its way to ARTHUR ROGERS whose turn and shot found its way into the bottom corner. This was just the incentive needed and the Lions pushed on. More chances were created but not taken before the Lions scored again. Following a corner to the Lions, the Ballers defence cleared as far as OLIVER JONES whose brave header put the ball back in the mixer and it was put home by GEORGE BYRON. This set up a frantic last 5 minutes as the Lions through everything forward, but it was not to be. The fact that the Lions refused to lay down and be beaten even when 3 down was fantastic. Every player battled to get back into the game and they very nearly did it. Unfortunately when you give a team as good as Ballers a 3 goal lead, it is very hard to come back. Player of the match RAHUL KALHAN, best game for a while.

A disappointing result considering that Hanwell dominated possession, without creating many clear cut chances. ROBBIE CONNOLLY worked hard up front in the first half without reward. The defence was very well organised and we never looked like conceding a goal. Excellent play by defenders ANTHONY LOWDES on the right and ANDREW DIXON playing out of position on the left . RIO WILKS put in a Man of The Match performance in central midfield

Hanwell Town 6 Sandgate 2

The best thing about this game was the final whistle and the chance to get out of the cold and go home. If this game lingers in the memory for any reasons they won't be footballing ones. Sandgate turned up with an incomplete team sndplayed a negative spoiling game Hanwell scored scored six goals, Sandgate got a couple. MICHAEL ANTHONY and DECLAND SPEEDE scored hatricks. They share the Man of the Match award for handling intense pressure from the Sandgate defence. Already preparing for the game next week against league leaders Charville.

A fine performance from the Thamesbank Keeper and good use of the woodwork  gave Thamesbank a victory they barely deserved. Hanwell were by far the better team but are not  goals. They got one Hanwell did not. Good game, bad result.

Hanwell U13 B were knocked out of the League Cup when three first half goals sunk them against White City. They rallied after the break and were parked in City’s half for much of the time. Despite numerous chances, however, they were unable to score

Hanwell Town Girls 5 Technicolor 2

An edgy start for Hanwell Town  as Technicolour got the first goal (which was so well struck there was little we could do about it) and things were looking really close by half time. However Hanwell soon found their form  with some great passing from the whole team. Great upfront play from OLIVIA REDMOND , ASHLEY CHEATELY, with support midfield from LULU TUCKER and SAMANTHA BULLEN

Our defense worked hard and Technicolour certainly pressed to catch up with our goals, however with GABY BROWNE, ASHLEIGH HARTE, LAUREN playing strong and some confident keeping from ELLEN CLABBURN we protected our late lead. Goals from ASHLEY (2), OLIVIA (2) and LULU (1), player of the match goes to both OLIVIA and ASHLEY .

An early goal does settle the nerves and TASHAN DWYER did just that for the U10 As in just 17 seconds. It was largely one way traffic but a couple of lapses in the second half cost a clean sheet. The story of the game was the debut of NATHAN VACHER FONTAINE who scored a hatrick and set up at least two others. DWYER grabbed a second, DANDI SYLA grabbed two as did MARTY MCDONAGH. Great team performance and welcome on board NATHAN.
