HANWELL TOWN FC-SEASON 2007/08


Paul Taylor-goalkeeper
Joined the club from Oxhey Jets at the start of the season. Whist at Oxhey won their player of the year award as well as featuring in their sides that won The Herts Senior Cup and the Spartan South Midlands Division One title. Having recovered from a broken he shares goaslkeeping duties aloingside Simeon.

Simeon Charles-goalkeeper
A product of the Youth team set up, having made his debut last season at just sixteen years of age. Has recently come to the attention of QPR who are following his progress.

Antony Rowlands-defender
The youngest of the Rowlands dynasty, his father and four brothers all having played for the club at one time or another. One of those Martin, has gone on to win two full Republic of Ireland caps during his time at QPR having previously played for Brentford. Hanwell has been his only club and his game has improved considerably over the last couple of seasons. Has made over 130 appearances in the First team squad.

Blake Goodman -defender
Hailing from the state of Michigan US of A, Blake made ahandful of appearances for the U18 side last season before stepping up tot he Senior team side ths year. An impressive start to the season as he looks to cement a regularstarting  place in the side.

Russell Mundy-defender
In at least his third spell with the club Russell is a key figure in the heart of defence playing with his football with his heart on his sleeve. This season sees his defensive duties combined with the role of Club Captain.

Aziz Khosimov - defender/midfield
New to the club this season. A versatile player who equally comfortable in defence and midfield

Jake Jenkins - defender
Joining from Maidenhead Jake is a solid defender in his first season with the club.

Jason Tucker- defender
Another defender returning to defensive duties with the club. Jason has oodles of experience with Hanwell Town and combines his football with his obligations as Landlord of The Greyhound in Kew.

Milo Brown-defender/midfield
Another new player in his fisr season with the club equally happy in the defensive or midfield duties

Daley Joseph-midfield
Having previously played for Kingsbury Town and Edgware Town, Daley is in his second season with Hanwell chipping in with the odd goal from centre mid.

Danny Edwards-forward
Joining the club at the fag end of last season from Hendon, equally comfortable on the left or right of midfield.

Dean Scarlett -forward
Coming from Yeading Dean has a goal scoring good track record and has got on the scoresheet early this season as he looks to impress.

Victor Osobu-forward
A member of the club's Allied Counties Youth team squad who became part of the first team squad towards the end of last season. Victor has now established himself as regular in the side. Very quick with great potential. Certainly, one to look out for in the future. Great to see him getting on the scoresheet nice early in the season.

Charley Baverstock-forward
In his second season Charlieestablished himself as a favourite with the home crowd due to his non stop efforts rightly winning player of the year for last season. 100% effort every game.

Keith Rowlands-forward
The club's record goal scorer, having found the net 265 times in just 330 appearances. Made his debut at the end of the 1995/95 season and his goal scoring ability brought him to the attention of other clubs and he left to join Farnborough Town and then moved onto Sutton United before returning to the Town. Was the leading scorer in The Spartan South Midlands League, a season in which he scored 52 goals. Has been plagued by injury over the last twelve months and is currently recovering from an operation to remove a bone from his ankle. Is hopeful of being back in the side early in the New Year.

Chris Boothe- Manager Chris was 21 in 1989 when he broke into the Hanwell Town side then managed by Roy Nairn having joined the club from North Greenford United via Edgware Town.  He subsequently transferred to Farnborough FC where he scored a magnificent 110 goals in 220 appearances joining Hayes to replace Jason Roberts who had been sold to Wolves. He played only  55 games for Hayes some at centre-half and scored only eight goals in this time. After a season and a half he returned to Farnborough on a free transfer, and soon joined Chesham and Sutton United in the Isthmian League. He then dropped a division with Aylesbury United, before stepping in as player-coach at Enfield before returning to Aylesbury in the same capacity with Steve Gallen as his assistant. His playing career continued for a short time at Yeading FC scoring a solitary goal in his 32 appearances.
